Dr Steven Gundry has perfrormed over a 1000 heart surgeries, was president of AHA and is now offering what appears to be 'new age' advice on avoiding disease by managing what we eat and put in ur gut. That got me listening as have always tried to avoid pharma medicine except on rare occasions.

I haven't listened to the video yet, but I can tell you the gut is the most important connection to good health. If your gut is bad and not working right your not in good health.

What are the gut microbiota and human microbiome?

    Hosea 4:6
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. ~ Washington Irving (1783-1859)

Good food has always been important for good health.

Start by never eating fast food or carry-out and try to severely limit what you purchase at supermarkets.

Grow or kill your food, buy locally grown every chance you get.

That said, labels in the store are only ink on their packaging, disregard everything that says "organic", "grass-fed", "pasture raised" and any other marketing schemes designed to extract more than market price from your pocket book.

If you want healthy items go and search them out where they're grown or raised.

    Sage advice.

I completely agree with his argument, we need to take all fields of science into considering whether it's nutritional science, endocrinology, or the study of human genetics.

Here few things that you can do to achieve optimal results:

Adequate sleep is essential for gut health.

Regular exercise is known to reduce stress levels and help maintain a healthy weight,

Antibiotics can wipe out both bad and good germs in the gut.
