White Married Couple Attacked in Nashville by Machete-Wielding Black Male Angry About Coronavirus Shutdown

    https://www.unz.com/sbpdl/white-marr...rce=whatfinger

    Paul Kersey • May 19, 2020

Police: Man angry about coronavirus closure attacks 2 people with machete, Associated Press, May 18, 2020

A Nashville couple were in critical care after a man attacked them with a machete because he was angry about shutdowns that were taking place during the coronavirus pandemic, police said.

Kelvin D. Edwards attacked Kevin Craft, 55, and his wife Leanne Craft, 50, on Sunday afternoon in a Public Storage in the city, the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a statement.

Edwards took the machete from his bin at the storage facility and continued striking the couple even after they were bleeding on the floor, police said. The victims were transported to a hospital after officers who responded to the scene used multiple tourniquets to control their bleeding.

Police said they found Edwards, 35, with his hands raised in surrender on the street outside the facility three minutes after they got a 911 call about the attack.

Investigators said Edwards, who is homeless, told them he attacked the couple to demonstrate his anger about the coronavirus shutdowns and his inability to get into Rescue Mission, an organization that serves homeless people. According to its website, the Nashville Rescue Mission has remained open to individuals without shelter during the pandemic.

Police said Edwards, who carries an Arkansas driver license, has been in Nashville since 2016. He had a prior felony vandalism conviction in 2017 and was also convicted for assault after spitting on two Davidson County sheriff’s deputies while in jail.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder for the attack Sunday, police said. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on his behalf.

Kevin and Leanne Craft are a white couple who live in the primary white Nashville suburb of Brentwood.

Virtually every printed story about this attack has omitted the fact the attacker was black and the victims are white.

All across the country, from Huntington Beach, California, to the Florida panhandle, overwhelmingly white crowds have protested the Coronavirus lockdown/quarantine/stay-at-home orders peacefully.

    There’s been no violence.

But we are supposed to believe a black guy, who “randomly” assaults a white married couple in Nashville with a machete was upset about the Coronavirus lockdowns, and this was the primary motivation behind the attack?

To borrow a phrase from the first story, the lack of visuals of the victims in this black machete attack on a white couple is jarring.

In one week, just one week, the carefully choreographed concept of systemic inequality and white privilege (whatever you want to call it) would be washed away if every newspaper, every news website, every nightly newscast (national and local), and every cable news network was forced to abandon covering up the reality of black crime. Putting the blame of shocking levels of black criminality on poverty and white flight (redlining) would be retired by the endless repetition of seeing the faces of black criminals scroll across the screen of whatever medium for news you consume, starting with the story of what happened to the Craft’s in Nashville.

Every day is a propaganda battle: the enemies of western civilization have to win everyday, to perpetuate their paradigm.

We only have to win once, then the dam breaks for good.

80-Year Old ‘Perfect Grandma’ Stabbed, Murdered By Career Criminal Released on Bond

The man may have been given a coronavirus jailbreak.

An eighty year old woman described as a ‘perfect grandmother’ by her family was stabbed and killed by a lifelong criminal on Saturday in Houston. 38-year old Randy Lewis, who has been arrested dozens of times in his life, may have been released from a metal health facility as part of a coronavirus jailbreak.

Rosalie Cook was attacked by Lewis walking to her car after shopping at a Houston Walgreens. A responding officer who arrived at the scene found Lewis looting through Cook’s car, and when he was attacked by Lewis in turn, shot him twice, fatally.

Lewis has been arrested 67 times throughout his life. Court records indicate that he was set free on a waived bond on April 30, having been detained at a mental health facility at the order of a judge pending the resolution of his case. It’s very possible considering the timing of his release from custody that the career criminal was released from the facility through a coronavirus jailbreak. County jails nationwide have released a third of their inmates on account of the pandemic, and in some cases more.

They disprove the Marxist narrative, which is utterly false.

If you were a stranger to America and listened to nothing but the Marxist media organs, you would come away with a belief that armed KKK racists are out hunting young innocent black men on a nightly basis.

The truth, is in fact, just the opposite: of all inter-ethic crimes committed, you are much more likely to be a white victim of murder committed by a black.

If that narrative is not discarded at the very start of any proceedings against these accused men, a miscarriage of justice will result.

Kanye West joins #BlackLivesMatter protest in addition to $2 million fund for relief

He also reportedly donated $2M to the families of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd and set up a college fund for Floyd's daughter Gianna #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd pic.twitter.com/zH1uhXbJDF — Complex Music (@ComplexMusic) June 5, 2020

Kanye, on top of the public appearance, has also created a college fund for George Floyd’s daughter, the black man who was murdered by the police in a racist incident that has sparked outrage. The fund will help his daughter Gianna, six-year-old daughter.

In addition, he has also donated $2 million to charities associated with the movement. The charities will help aid Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd’s families and black-owned businesses with financial contributions in his hometown of Chicago.

The rapper has also pledged to cover legal costs for the Arbery and Taylor families reportedly.
For the unversed, Ahmaud Arbery was fatally shot while on a jog in February, and Breonna Taylor was killed in her home by police in March. Meanwhile George Floyd died on May 25 after police officer Derek Chauvin pinned him to the ground using his knee. He kept his knee on Floyd's neck during his arrest, which led to his death. Chauvin and three other officers involved in Floyd's arrest and resulting death have since been fired, arrested and charged in a criminal case.

    You're missing the point.

Corriea's objective in all his commentary is to keep you alive and keep you out of prison.

Maybe in today's "woke" world of non-policing, the concept of citizen's arrests need to re-thought.

But the fact of the matter is that if these guys had not decided to play cop, they never would have been put into this situation.

I am not missing any point, their overall point is that humans should try as much as possible to behave like angels that way, there will never be any need to be harassed by the state but we all know that is not possible. To further illustrate the incompetence and insane way they assessed this case, at one point, the gun owner "advocate" lawyer said that he doesn't have all the details/information to comment on this case and then goes on to all but say that the McMicheals are guilty of murder. Sorry but if was was looking for a defense lawyer after using my firearm for self defense, those 2 are the last people I would ask to defend me.

To be clear I agree that what they did wasn't the smartest thing in the world but the McMicheals did nothing illegal.

Yes, it wasn't the smartest thing they could have done that day but nothing they did was illegal and that is all should matter when it comes to the law.

That was my only purpose in posting that video, what info anybody gleans from it or how seriously they want to take it, is entirely up to them.

Your mileage may vary, in other words.

Yes, it wasn't the smartest thing they could have done that day but nothing they did was illegal and that is all should matter when it comes to the law.
In today's AmeriKa that matters very little, if at all.

Soon, the very act of defending oneself with deadly force will be prima facie evidence of racist ill intent, the furthering of white supremacy and a "hate crime", assuming the assailant was a member of the Anointed Class.

ETA - For years, I have made it very clear that the best course of action to take is to avoid cops at all costs.

This includes "playing cop" which it seems pretty clear to me that is what this former cop and associates did here.

All it did is end up in a deadly confrontation, which maybe six months ago would have skated by on leftover cop courtesy, but is now turning into a public lynching, because of the newly appointed status of "Anointed One" bestowed on the victim.

Which also prompts me to now add Anointed Ones to the ranks of those-who-are-to-be-avoided-at-all-costs just like cops. Any contact can turn into a sideways nightmare in a second, causing financial and physical harm you may never recover from.

"That's awful AF! How collectivist of you to say such a thing!"

    Collectivist???

    You're damn right it's collectivist.

New evidence introduced in the criminal case against the father and son in Georgia accused of murdering Ahmaud Arbery show that Arbery had a history of claiming to be a jogger to cover for his criminal activities.

On February 23, Ahmaud Arbery was killed while he was running through the Satilla Shores neighborhood near Brunswick, in Georgia. Two men were sitting on their lawn when Arbery passed, and they pursued him in their truck. The men proceeded to get out of their truck and shoot Arbery, which resulted in his death.

The two men, Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son Travis McMichael, have been charged with murder and aggravated assault and are currently jailed in coastal Glynn County, Georgia.

According to newly released court documents, multiple eye-witness accounts and police reports that were produced indicate Ahmaud Arbery’s history of criminal activities which included Arbery trespassing on property, stealing from stores, and then running away after being confronted.

“On August 21,2018, Burke County witness reports and Burke County Office body cam video reveals Mr. Arbery was caught by a stay-at-home mom who saw him in her backyard looking into the windows of her cars,” the documents stated. “She called the police who found Mr. Arbery at his grandmother’s residence. Police officers arrived to give Mr. Arbery a trespass warning about his conduct and behavior.”

“When confronted by the officers about the eye-witness reports, he lied and said he had ‘gone running in the street,’ and then became aggressive, confrontational, and repeatedly threatened that he would ‘whip the officer’s ass’ if they didn’t leave him alone,” the report continued.

Another report from a Burke County police officer’s body cam video revealed another incident which included Ahmaud Arbery lying about his whereabouts.

“On October 23, 2018, Burke County reports and Burke County officer body cam video reveal Mr. Arbery and two juveniles were confronted in a vacant mobile home by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Arbery ran when confronted by the authorities. He was later caught and lied, stating he was just out running when asked about being in the mobile home. He was charged with misdemeanor obstruction for running when given lawful commands to stop,” said the report.

Other eye-witness accounts and video evidence details Ahmaud Arbery and his repeated misconduct of pretending to be out running and then committing crimes, which led to Arbery getting nicknamed ‘The Jogger’ by members of his community.

“In 2019 and 2020, local convenience store witness interviews reveal Mr. Arbery became known as ‘The Jogger’ for his repeated conduct and behavior of running up, stretching in front, and then entering several convenience stores where he would grab items and run out before he got caught,” the report stated.

“In 2020, witness cell phone video reveals Mr. Arbery was confronted at a convenience store by employees about his theft conduct and behavior. Mr. Arbery, concerned about his thefts, chose to fight a man who worked on location at the adjacent truck stop who tried to confront him about it,” the report stated of another eye-witness account.

Gregory McMichael and son Travis McMichael plead not guilty and their trial is currently ongoing.

3 men charged with federal hate crimes, attempted kidnapping in Ahmaud Arbery death

    https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/atl...BW6DPTY52H2BI/

    April 28, 2021 at 6:13 pm EDT

    By WSBTV.com News Staff

ATLANTA — A federal grand jury has charged the three men accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery with federal hate crime charges.

The grand jury in the Southern District of Georgia handed up the indictment on Wednesday.

Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William “Roddie” Bryan are now also being charged with one count of interference with rights and with one count of attempted kidnapping. Travis and Gregory McMichael were also charged with one count each of using, carrying, and brandishing — and in Travis’s case, discharging — a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

The McMichaels have claimed they thought Arbery was a burglary suspect when they followed him and he was shot to death. Until Wednesday, the McMichaels faced felony murder charges in the shooting death of Arbery back in February 2020 in Brunswick.

Bryan, 50, shot the video that showed what appears to be Gregory and Travis McMichael shooting and killing Arbery while he was out jogging. The new federal charges are in addition to the charges of felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment.

Arbery’s family has repeatedly said during the past year that Arbery was only jogging through the neighborhood.

The men never faced state hate crime charges in Georgia because the law passed after the incident happened. Since this case started, the state has also abolished the citizens arrest law that dated back to the Civil War.

The McMichaels and Bryan also face a federal civil rights lawsuit that Arbery’s mother filed on the one-year anniversary of his death. The lawsuit also names Glynn County police and Jackie Johnson and George Barnhill, the district attorneys who originally handled the case.

Jury selection begins in Georgia trial of men charged with killing Ahmaud Arbery

Monday morning marked the start of a long process to choose 12 jurors from the 1,000 called up for jury duty to determine the guilt of three white men charged with fatally shooting a Black jogger in south Georgia last February.

ATLANTA (CN) — Jury selection in the trial of three white men accused of murdering Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old Black jogger, began Monday.

About 600 people were ordered to report for jury duty Monday morning at the Glynn County Courthouse in the port city of Brunswick, Georgia, as defense attorneys and prosecutors prepare to question up to 1,000 people in the coming days to find 12 impartial jurors and four alternate jurors to hear the high-profile case.

The panel of jurors will ultimately be tasked with deciding whether Gregory McMichael, his son Travis McMichael and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan are guilty of felony and malice murder for chasing Arbery down in a pick-up truck on Feb. 23, 2020, and shooting him to death with a shotgun.

Travis McMichael has claimed that he fatally shot Arbery, who was unarmed, in self-defense.

Attorneys for the McMichaels have argued that they chased Arbery because they believed he had committed a burglary. They allegedly planned to carry out a citizen’s arrest on Arbery under a since-repealed Georgia law.

Investigators have said there is no evidence that Arbery engaged in any wrongdoing that day.

Despite the existence of a video of the shooting, which Bryan filmed on his cell phone, local police did not immediately bring charges against the men. It was only after the video leaked two months later and sparked a nationwide outcry that state investigators took the case over and charged Bryan and the McMichaels for the shooting.

The three men also face charges for aggravated assault, false imprisonment and other crimes. All three have pleaded not guilty.

The process of choosing a jury in the case is expected to take at least two weeks. Court officials and attorneys on both sides appear to have anticipated a difficult road ahead as they sift through the community of just 86,000 to find jurors who can remain impartial despite the national attention the case has received.

The jury pool will wait in a recreation center near the courthouse to ensure that social distancing rules are followed. Jurors will be called in groups of 20 for questioning by the attorneys.

Members of the jury pool received a three-page questionnaire with their jury summons, asking what they know about the case, what news outlets have been their main sources of information and whether they have posted any online comments about Arbery’s killing.

Attorneys on both sides will spend the next two weeks questioning the jury pool to find out whether they have formed biases and opinions on the case that would render them unable to serve on the final panel.

Potential jurors will be questioned on whether they own guns, what their views on racism and Black Lives Matter are and whether they have accessed public records related to Arbery’s previous brushes with the law.

Before jury selection began Monday, Superior Court Judge Timothy Walmsley held a brief hearing to allow attorneys to air disagreements over some of the proposed jury questions.

Prosecutors specifically objected to one question proposed by defense attorneys which would ask potential jurors whether white people who use “the N-word” are racist.

Prosecutor Linda Dunikoski said she believed the question was “inappropriate” for voir dire questioning.

During a preliminary hearing in the case last June, Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent Richard Dial testified that Bryan said he overheard Travis McMichael refer to Arbery as a “$#@!ing ******” as he stood over Arbery’s body.

During a November hearing in the case, exhibits entered by the prosecution showed that Travis McMichael used racial slurs in a text message to a friend.

The McMichaels and Bryan have also been indicted on federal hate crime and attempted kidnapping charges. They have pleaded not guilty.

Once the jury is seated, the trial could take two weeks or more.
