A lot of people I know didn't donate on Nov 5th because the "moneybomb" idea was very new, it wasn't that well-known in advance, and, frankly, a lot of people didn't like the historical association with Guy Fawkes. There was zero MSM coverage until after the event, and the self-fulfilling "he can't win" prophecy was not yet broken. A lot of people had doubts if the numbers they were seeing that day were real. Etc. The Tea Party is completely different! It is no longer a leap of faith - any reasonable person will see that Ron Paul is our last best hope for peace and freedom in this country!

The number of mailing list sign-ups isn't a good indicator because most people who donate don't bother being put on the mailing list - why bother when they can get the same announcements and stuff on the Web? I think everyone who donated on Nov 5th will donate again, and their average donation will be higher because a lot of people had a long time to think about it and they'll be maxing out their $2300 limits.

The MSM had to mention the Tea Party on several occasions, especially now with the blimp being in the air and Ron Paul entering double digits (in spite of their phone survey cheating!) in some key states. Ron Paul has been proven right on a number of points since then, including the economy and Iran. Bias in MSM phone polling has been more thoroughly debunked. A lot of netroots ideas for getting the word out will be improved upon the second time around. A lot of of fence-sitters, possibly hundreds of thousands of them, will finally jump onto our side!

For all those reasons, I say we'll raise well over 11 mil, and it will be a turning point in the history of American politics! Be a part of it! What each of us will do this Sunday will echo in eternity!
