So Domestic production is a national security issue afterall?

So it sounds like ensuring domestic production of goods is a national security issue afterall. Imagine that....

What specifically are you basing this thread on? News of some sort or just a general thought?

If anything this has completely exposed our reliance on foreign trade and how shipping production overseas is problematic.

Yeah, maybe he should start some threads saying how walking around barefoot eating oranges will save us all from the WuhanVirus.

I'm not going to argue with you. I have presented data from scientific studies and you can take it or leave it.

Eating oranges will only give you about 40mg of vitamin c, it is not what I recommended, and it won't help.

Oranges are also full of glucose.

Covid-19 causes deathly-ill pneumonia and pneumonia thrives on glucose.

I don't deserve your ridicule and insults. Good bye.

Was my satire too subtle to be understood in the proper context of this issue?

I believe that it was beautiful in its poignant brevity and wit.

If this post is to be my last, let it bring a smile, relief, or a sense of social justice to one and all.

Josh, brother, with all due respect, chill.

This is getting out of hand...specs? Seriously? Lord knows I and Mrs. AF have had plenty of insults thrown our way over the years. No reason to run off an '07 legacy member who has, over the years, contributed and stepped up to the plate many times, just because of one smart ass remark.

You'll be talking to an empty room before too much longer...between people that have been run off and people too scared to even make a comment for fear of a ban.

Cash is doing just fine right now. Peter doesn't thrill me like he used to. Cash is one of the few things not tanking right now. Peter's Gold on the other hand isn't exactly skyrocketing. Diversification....

I have always felt domestic production to be important . Not just as a security issue ( which of course it is no matter what deniers say ) but because it is also one of the few ways to produce real wealth . Not paper wealth which is what stocks , bonds , fiat currency and really most service economies feed on . People losing 29 percent of the 401K in less than a month after seeing it depleted by 50 percent in the 08 crash might begin to see , I would hope .

I am a big believer in diversification too . One of the reasons we have the boom and bust is general lack of it . Peoples savings are all in a home and or 401 K stocks , cash when they dump stocks . That is not very diversified . There is land , copper , lead , small business , rental properties etc

You and Mrs. AF deserve better.

This place already was essentially an empty room. We were below 1000 uniques when I started back up again in May 2019.

I catch enough flak on other websites where I promote and defend valuable information. I'm not going to allow it here. I'm ripping weeds out of this garden and something new will grow in it's place. I don't care what year the person joined that is being toxic.

Those are two of the most beneficial things you can do for your health.

I'm not budging when people make baseless attacks on my character or reasonable topics that I promote.

Since the beginning of time wealth has generally been thought to come from production, rather than consumption. (that or you could steal it) The belief that you can consume your way to prosperity is a relatively new-age concept, and Keynesian at its core. If it were true, I'd quit my job and go get a loan from every bank that would give me one. I'd be so rich.

None of you will deal with the topic at hand about vitamin c or earthing being a subject that deserves ridicule or being equated to as $#@! posting.

It is the product of worthwhile research and a willingness to share eccentric, yet solid, data that is disregarded by the mainstream.

Well of course they are important my old friend... But are they worth killing this community over??? Josh... It is irrational man. I hope you can defeat these demons that have possessed you my friend. You have something unique and priceless here, and you are obviously hell bent on throwing it away...

Keep in mind that what you have here cannot be replaced. There are no more who will care or come in from these last two socialist generations. So you need these weeds toxic or not or it will be gone. You need these participants as much as they need you, without them you will have nothing. First of all it is not about you, it is about the movement and you have what little is left. Nystrom killed off about 80% of it and now you are about to do in the rest...

Perhaps everyone is afraid vitamin C would be considered a thread hijack.

With all due respect, this place is named for Dr. Ron Paul. Because of this, it is bound to attract people who have no respect for authority for authority's sake. It always has, and people thumbing their noses at any and every authority figure has been a tradition and an integral part of its appeal. And if the site's authority figures can't stomach that, perhaps the only hope for it is a rebranding.

I've been wondering if this place needs a rebranding for a while. This is not because people here question authority. Ron Paul questions, and even lashes out at, authority. This is because of racism, sexism, and all manner of other collectivism which used to not rule this roost. Please don't tell me this place used to be this full of comments about "Amish" and "Nigerians" (I'm looking at you, for one, @Anti Federalist, for saying things jmdrake doesn't deserve to have to read). Please don't tell me Moostraks, MelissaWV, cajuncocoa, Nirvikalpia and many others weren't driven out by rampant sexism, sometimes veiled as GOP partisanship, sometimes naked. None of this has anything to do with Ron Paul. It is an affront to the man. He doesn't deserve to have his good name associated with it.

Yeah, I've had specsaregood go all prickly on me too. But I've also seen Swordsmyth engage in campaigns via both thread attacks and neg rep wars to drive off whole demographics. Whether he denies it or not. Whether he's even conscious of it or not.

Are you ripping out the dandelions because you don't like yellow while the kudzu does the real damage?

Regular posters like Specs aren't weeds to be tossed in the garbage.

None of the regular posters here should be getting banned like this.

...incidentally, I take Pauling-level doses of vitamin C daily.

Maybe I would not be making such comments if, over the last few years, I did not have to read how I and my posterity must, at the very least, be silenced in the public square, have no more input into the how the country is run, reduced to second class citizen status, or, at the worst end of the spectrum be forcibly replaced by migrant invasion or purged in a genocide.

At any rate, I have reached out to Josh and spoken with him on the direction he wants to take the forum, and I understand, I just think that maybe he was being too heavy handed and said so, nothing more, nothing less.

Sorry if my comments trigger you, I have spoken with jmdrake on number of occasions as well, and while there may be disagreement, it is what it is, disagreement comes naturally to political board.

My "racism" is nothing compared to what Ron put in his own newsletters...oh yeah, everybody forgot about that.

But go ahead and call me out on it if you want, or if you think it makes some point...I have twelve years of rants, perambulations, thoughts, ideas, jokes, comments and mental indigestion posted here.

I stand by every word...and if you or anybody else think that the forum will be better served by running me off as well, be my $#@!ing guest and take your best shot at it.

Thus is how every failed "movement" ends...the last dying off in a circular firing squad of backbiting and recriminations.
