Donald Trump: ‘I’d Rather Run Against Bloomberg than Bernie Sanders’

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...ernie-sanders/

    CHARLIE SPIERING 11 Feb 2020

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he’d rather run against former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg than Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2020 presidential race.

“Frankly I’d rather run against Bloomberg than Bernie Sanders because Sanders has real followers,” Trump said, adding, “He has followers, Bloomberg’s just buying his way in.”

The president was asked on Tuesday about calling Bloomberg “racist” on Twitter after the former mayor’s comments resurfaced on Tuesday. Trump said he later deleted the tweet because he felt it was too nasty.

But Trump ridiculed Bloomberg for apologizing for his support for “stop and frisk” policies during a campaign event at a church in November.

“Well, I tell you what, I looked at it, and I watched him pander in a church and practically beg for forgiveness,” Trump said. “I wouldn’t have begged for forgiveness, he was doing his job at the time.”

Trump said that Bloomberg’s apology was “disingenuous” and “pathetic” after he vocally defended the policy when he was the mayor.

“That was only for getting votes and probably I think people understand that,” he said, referring to Bloomberg’s apology.

Trump said that Bloomberg would spend millions of dollars to win, but questioned his ability to win the primary.

“Look he’s a lightweight, you’re going to find that out, he’s also one of the worst debaters that I’ve ever seen,” Trump said.

When asked about Biden’s struggling campaign, Trump replied, “It’s stumbling, it’s mumbling. Not pretty.”

Trump recalled that Biden failed to get more than one percent support in the primaries before joining the Obama ticket in 2008.

“We’ll see how he does. You never know … He can always turn it around, I think it’s not going to be easy,” he said.

The president noted that the economy was roaring, unemployment was at historic lows, veterans were being taken care of, and he was protecting the Second Amendment.

“When you add it up, you know, I don’t see how we lose,” he said. “But you never know, it’s politics, right fellas?”

At this point, Trump would like to see chaos from the Democrats. He will stir it up as much as he can.

Trump was for "stop and frisk" too.

Trump calls Bloomberg a "total racist” for backing the same stop-and-frisk policy he supported

It is unclear why Trump deleted the tweet, though it could have something to do with his support for stop-and-frisk

President Donald Trump quickly deleted a tweet that attacked former Mike Bloomberg as "racist" over comments the former New York mayor made in an unearthed audio recording defending stop-and-frisk.

"WOW, BLOOMBERG IS A TOTAL RACIST!" Trump wrote before the tweet was deleted shortly thereafter. The president later re-tweeted a post that included the hashtag #BloombergIsRacist.

It is unclear why Trump deleted the tweet, though it could have something to do with his longstanding support for stop-and-frisk. A federal judge struck down the practice 2013 as "indirect racial profiling" that led to police regularly stopping "blacks and Hispanics who would not have been stopped if they were white."

Trump said during his 2016 campaign that the program "worked very well" in New York and called for its nationwide implementation.

"I would do stop-and-frisk. I think you have to — we did it in New York. It worked incredibly well," Trump said at the time. "You understand — you have to have, in my opinion. I see what's going on here — I see what's going on in Chicago, I think stop-and-frisk. In New York City, it was so incredible — the way it worked. Now, we had a very good mayor. But New York City was incredible — the way that worked. So I think that could be one step you could do."

The president doubled down on his support for the unconstitutional program in 2018, arguing that "'stop-and-frisk' works and it was meant for problems like Chicago."

Since most everything Trump says is a lie, that means he wants Dems to nominate Bernie.

Don't tell anyone I told you this, ok? We already are socialist and have been for 80 years. This is the next step toward actual communism.

Socialism has never been defined on a national level. It also still carries a bad reputation in this country, thats why people backpedal when socialism is brought up and try to make it sound innocent by saying its only democratic socialism that those cute Europeans do. Even though so called libertarians like @juleswin want Bernie to win and bring Scandinavian style socialism to America, Sanders won't win anything past the nomination.

Once the labels have been properly defined, socialism/communism should crawl back into the hole where it came from.

As long as Trump does his homework when it comes to Sanders, beating him should be a piece of cake.

well you'll get that no matter who wins; so might as well look to the memes for comedic relief.

Would be interesting if Bernie won the nomination and Bloomberg ran independent. A race between three socialist New Yorkers; it would be 'uge! right wing socialism, left wing socialism, and centrist socialism dripping with New York grease.

You should definitely give back any additional tax benefits that Trump's socialism provided you with. Also put yourself back on Obamacare's individual mandate.
