    The left is unsalvageable.

Eventually we will separate from them, the only question is whether it will it be peacefully or violently.

The republicans have been lost since they went all out against Dr. Paul. The first few years of Trump's term when Republicans were in complete control showed they had no vision, no fiscal conservatives, no intention of anything other than business as usual.

The one tiny bit of good to come of this is that at least finally democrats have the smallest taste of completely failed / rigged elections, it is being covered and not ignored like the anything but Paul smear by the RNC and faux news. Sure the DNC made sure Bernie couldn't get the nod last time around but that only came out after and wasn't a big deal like the days waiting for results is becoming.

We need the existing structures that have shown they can fail spectacularly to be replaced with something other than simple D or R.

It would be good if the Republican Party could be replaced, but I wasn't talking about parties, I was talking about voterbases, the right can be salvaged while the left cannot.

I'm not sure why anyone would think this when the global trends point towards more Globalization, collectivism, Social justice, Socialism, and moral relativism.

Just because the DNC is in complete meltdown, should not be a complete measure or Progressive belief systems that are systemic in our culture.

I would imagine that the same holds true for the RNC.

They should give back the money they get in states that have taxpayer funded primaries then. Both major parties get huge subsidies from taxpayers to assist in carrying out the selection process for candidates so for them to hide behind the 'private organization' label is laughable.

The way the primary system currently works, states have quite a lot of leeway to determine their placement in the calendar.

“There’s never been a controlling legal authority when it came to the nomination process,” University of New Hampshire political science professor Dante Scala tells Vox. “States have a good amount of freedom to set the dates of their primary, and so forth.”

This flexibility was evident this cycle, as states including California and North Carolina decided to move up the dates of their primaries to “Super Tuesday” on March 3, in order to have more influence on the process.

In the past, some states have attempted to jump to the front of the calendar, mostly unsuccessfully. To prevent them from doing so, the DNC and RNC have penalized those that try to mess with primary timing.

In 2008, for example, both Michigan and Florida shifted their primaries right after those of Iowa and New Hampshire in defiance of DNC rules, in a bid to shape the outcome of the race. Michigan held its primary on January 15, while Florida did the same on January 29.

State Democrat officials are admitting that they flubbed the update in results from Monday’s farcical Iowa caucus that they released to the public earlier on Wednesday.
The newest results were released on Wednesday afternoon and showed South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg maintaining his narrow delegate lead over Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders with 75 percent of counties reporting. Democrats are insisting that only a “minor correction” is needed, but they have not yet explained what that correction will entail.
“There will be a minor correction to the last batch of results and we will be pushing an update momentarily,” the party wrote in a tweet.
