President Trump said in an interview broadcast Sunday that he thinks Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is a communist.

Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Trump in an interview that aired prior to Super Bowl LIV for quick reactions to a number of Democratic presidential candidates, including Sanders.

"I think he’s a communist. I mean, you know, look, I think of communism when I think of Bernie," Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity when asked for a quick reaction to Sanders and other Democratic presidential candidates.

"Now you could say socialist, but didn’t he get married in Moscow?" Trump added, with Hannity interjecting to note Sanders went to the former Soviet Union on his honeymoon.

"I think of Bernie sort of as a socialist but far beyond a socialist," Trump continued. "At least he’s true to what he believes."

Trump's comments were broadcast a day before the Iowa caucuses. Sanders, who identifies as a Democratic Socialist, has been leading in the most recent polls in the state.

The president and his campaign last month started focusing additional attention on Sanders, who has consistently been among the best-performing candidates in polls alongside former Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump himself has tweeted several times in recent weeks attempting to create a rift between Sanders and the broader Democratic Party, accusing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of attempting to "rig" the primary process against the senator.

Don’t be fooled by Bernie Sanders — he’s a diehard communist

While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA. He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

After graduating with a political science degree, Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda. Sanders has said he doesn't believe in competition. Literally. Said he believes in cooperation not competition.

Said he would nationalize drug companies, energy companies, banks, factories, and health care. (Probably missing some. Just going on memory.)

Supported a 100% tax rate on people earning over a million dollars.

Said Venezuela and Argentina ( 58% interest rates in Argentina as of today btw) were the new places to find the America Dream.

For all of Trump's faults, he may as well be the most freedom loving person in the universe when compared to Sanders.

As long as I am paying for others against my will, products I do not want, communism (and threats of repercussion) is being forced upon me. I do not care what flavor (side) you call it, it is still communism.

Republicans are less bad on issues like Taxes,Guns or immigration but that doesn't mean we should vote for them.
