Paul Dorr, son Aaron Dorr his two brothers and their Gun Associations

Did a refresher on the Aaron Dorr / Iowa Gun Owners, Sorenson, Bachman, Paul campaign. This started because the name Aaron Dorr has become prominent in the 2A activist arena in my state of New York.

The father Paul Dorr has done great work with the homeschooler referendums. Its the sons in question.

A newer 2A org appeared in my state in late 2018. A couple weeks ago they put out a few very good quality/spokersperson videos at our state capitol featuring Aaron Dorr.

He and his brothers have not for profit 2A orgs in multi states. In my state, this org is not local grassroots.

I checked the AG Charitiies Bureau for his New York State Firearms Association and looked at their bylaws. Officers can be board of directors. Members cannot vote.

Iowa has a facebook page on these guys, and its not good. I will post the links I have found concerning more.

I am asking, does anyone have any personal knowledge on Aaron Dorr and/or his brothers. There are many 2A supporters giving these people money.

If anyone would like to help research and draw analysis conclusion, it would be appreciated.

I just found a couple of these links last night:

Yes I know these guys and they do good work. There are some private personal issues that I won't comment on publicly, but I will say don't believe all the negative stuff you read.

Talked to some people across states.

There is much intertwined entities happening here. I can understand the Dorr's push from a Libertarian stance. The problems are this:

They have multi 2A groups across states. The brothers switch their names for different titles on the not for profit paperwork from Executive Director depending on which state. The money goes under one umbrella group called the Midwest Freedom Enterprises, trying to remember.

The they have pro-life not for profits in states. Then Aaron does educating "in conjunction" with the Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership. Remember Campaign for Liberty and the Real Nature of Politics?

Now if Aaron stayed in one state, and wanted to get paid for activism, then he would have to stick to one aspect, and dominate with it.

He is not. There is more, I am giving snippets of info here.

Now he is in my state. We have activists leaving to get away from New York State. Aaron buys a home a couple months ago not too far from me. Why on earth would a diehard 2A person leave Des Moines, Iowa, and want to come live in NYS? I am in agreement with others, there is a lot of money in NYS and centered amongst states where a lot of 2A activism will be taking place over the next coming years.

He is already using the word "us". He is no "us".

Here is a post from one of us locals, on the NY Firearms forum, showing an email he received from Aaron Dorr. Aaron is dissing local groups, sounding like he has been fighting for our local for ten years. Who is this guy to come from another state and talk like he has lived with us.

    https://nygunforum.com/threads/intro...ciation.35369/

How is it that our states main two 2A orgs facebook groups have roughly the same likes, and comments on posts; yet NYS Firearms Assoc org has individual post likes, in the thousands with hundreds of comments, on just too many of the posts. And if you compare the facebook pages of a handful of their affiliates ones, each has almost 100% identical posts in the same order. Something is not right.

If he wants to make money as an activist, off of us; he would need to travel four days a week, every two weeks, being a kick ass activist across the state, etc, with a helluva lot to show for it. Not just sending mailers not just talking to politicians and doing some videos, and presenting policy.

There is plenty of evidence to show, they want to make money being activists, first. And how they are going about has red flags around it.

I will again, work on contacting him, and he is going to have to hear it.

So even if they mean well,... Their whole package can easily get a person to distinguish them as scammers. They are in a bad spot.

It's called marketing, and Aaron is very good at it.

And Aaron has done a lot of good with his activism, and the only way he can do it is if he gets paid for it. Full time paid activists/operatives are needed to be able to accomplish good stuff on a state level. In some places it is even necessary to be paid to operate on a local level. Politics is time consuming and most people aren't independently wealthy to be able to work for free.

As to NY specifically, I have no idea why he is going there but I suspect there are strategic reasons behind it.

I used to do for a living exactly what he is doing so I know the life.

Regarding the corporations and such, the government makes it unbelievably complicated to do activism and not expose your donor list and expenditures to the enemy. That explains why some of that stuff looks shady. Dark money exists not just for the bad guys but it can also be used for good.
