Mexico Is Paying for Trump's Wall

President Donald Trump has done it again. He just keeps winning. He just keeps proving the Trump Doctrine works magnificently.
Don't look now, but Trump has even built his wall -- and Mexico is paying for it.

Illegal immigrant crossings nationwide are down almost 80%. At the Arizona-Mexico border, illegal crossings are down by 94%. Once-overcrowded dorms, where we house illegal border crossers, are now empty. And Mexico is keeping illegals who demand asylum on their side of the border. It's another huge Trump victory. How did he do it? Trump won a masterful negotiation with Mexico. Trump understood Mexico needs us far more than we need it. We could make its economy crumble in a nanosecond. Mexico blinked, just like China and Iran.

Faced with tariffs and economic ruin, Mexican officials agreed to place thousands of troops, at their expense, at both their northern and southern borders. Suddenly, no one can get through. A Mexican journalist just named this human wall of Mexican troops "Trump's Wall."
So, in fact, Trump has built the wall, a human wall. And Mexico is paying for it. Bravo.

So he's coerced the Mexicans into increasing government spending?

Well, that's in line with his domestic policies, isn't it?

Damn, throw in the trade deal that promoted Mexican minimum wages and unions, and Donald might get a spot up there with Hugo Chavez.

He coerced Mexico into stopping the invasion of the US that they had been facilitating through both negligence and active measures.

How long do these cost savings take to add up to the 20 million a mile the wall will cost?

Although as Dr. Paul has explained multiple times we don't need a border wall an 8 year old can climb in seconds to stop the immigration issue.

No 8 year old can climb it in seconds, they video you are thinking of was a cheat in multiple ways.
And Ron voted for the secure fence act so he must have thought it was better than doing nothing.

Ron was against the wall provisions in the act but liked the amnesty provisions so that is why he said he voted for it.

Q: You voted to support that 700-mile fence along the border with Mexico. Is there a need for a similar fence along the border with Canada?

PAUL: No. The fence was my weakest reason for voting for that, but enforcing the law was important, and border security is important.
Just to build the fence is going to cost us at least $7 billion. Where is the money coming from to pay for it? How much is it going to cost to maintain this 700-mile fence? Who is going to do it? This bill contains no funding.

This bill also ignores real enforcement measures, like hiring more Border Patrol personnel, and instead builds a Berlin Wall on our southern border. So long as employers need workers in this country, and while our immigration systems impede rather than facilitate timely access of willing workers to those opportunities, undocumented immigration will never be controlled.

Walls, barriers, and military patrols will only force those immigrants to utilize ever more dangerous routes and increase the number of people who die in search of an opportunity to feed and clothe their families.

If Mexico really is paying for it, does that mean Trump does not need to take any money from the DOD or other parts of the budget to pay for it?

Not sure if you read the article, but it says that Mexico has created a human wall that they have called "Trump's wall" which has decreased illegal border crossings by about 80% and around 94% on the Arizona/Mexico border.

    Mexico is paying for it.

But it's also temporary, being that a human wall needs to be paid and fed. So Trump may get more money to build a physical barrier, but for now Mexico is paying for the wall and Trump was right.

Trump said nobody was getting through in 2018.

Remember the Caravans? Well, they didn’t get through and none are forming or on their way. Border is tight. Fake News silent!

He was not in favor of any amnesty and you failed to cite any source to back up that claim.
He said we needed enforcement and obviously he thought that the wall was better than nothing.

Ron Paul on Trump's Border Wall: Totally Useless

Former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) says President Trump's plan to build a wall along the country's Southern border a "totally useless" idea with low support in border states.

A new poll found that 61% of Texas citizens do not approve of building a wall along the border with Mexico to keep illegal immigrants out. "I’m glad that the poll shows that people in Texas don’t think much of this wall,” Paul told the FOX Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo.

"I’ve always argued that the walls are going to hinder the American people as much as anybody," Paul said. "If somebody has honestly earned money and they want to walk across the border, they become criminals, you know, they can’t do it because they have all these regulations.”
“I think a wall is totally useless and he didn’t mention how he was going to pay for that wall, you know, Sessions didn’t say a word. That’s billions of dollars, nobody knows what it will cost and it won’t work, it’s so detrimental to the concept of liberty because what it is, they’re treating a symptom rather than saying, ‘our problem is a healthy economy and allowing people to trade freely.’”

Well when you get Mexico to stop caravans of illegal immigrants from entering the country, theres going to be a lot less illegal immigration.
