Greta Thunberg Says We Will ‘Put World Leaders Against the Wall’

    14 Dec 2019

Time’s “Scold of the Year,” Greta Thunberg, told a crowd in Italy that “we will make sure we put world leaders against the wall” if they do not do what she tells them to do.

On her way home, the 16-year-old Swedish eco-activist and chronic truant stopped to address a Fridays for Future gathering in Turin, Italy, at which she went the full-Fidel Castro.

“Unfortunately, we probably already know the outcome. World leaders are still trying to run away from their responsibilities but we have to make sure they cannot do that. We will make sure that we put them against the wall and they will have to do their job to protect our futures,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.

“Against the wall” is fairly common jargon in revolutions, especially youthful revolutions, and the accepted translation means executions — lots and lots of executions, specifically firing squads, where the old leaders are permanently removed by fresh-faced revolutionaries.

During the speech, and while wearing what looks like a plastic — and, therefore, a petroleum-based — yellow rain slicker, Greta shouted her usual spiel about how The Children should be in charge of everything because The Children will have to live in a future that will not exist unless we return to the Dark Ages of wind and solar power, unless we accept socialism.

    Daily Mail:

It is not fair that the older generation are handing over the responsibility to solve this crisis to us young people who have not started this crisis. It’s not fair that we have to do all this.

The adults are behaving as if there is no tomorrow but there is a tomorrow, it is the tomorrow where our young people will live and we have to fight for that tomorrow. We can no longer take that tomorrow for granted.

Greta added that the next decade “will define our future.”

She said: “What we decide to do or not to do in this decade we will have to live with for the rest of our lives.

“And our children and our grandchildren will also have to live with it.

“So 2019 is almost over and we must make sure that 2020 is the year of action, is the year when we bend the global emissions curve.

“We must make sure, and we will make sure that if we stand together we can do it.”

She sounds like a pint-sized Jim Jones.

Now I want to share something I found interesting about our favorite Greta…

She only has 3.6 million Twitter followers.

Granted, that’s more than ten times yours truly, but when you consider the media hype not just here in America, but throughout the world… Well, that’s not a whole lot.

    Khloe Kardashian has 27 million.

    Sean Hannity has 4.4 million.

    Russell Wilson has 5.5 million.

    Aaron Rodgers has 4.4 million.

    Tom Cruise has 6.7 million.

What I’m saying is that, once again, the media are gaslighting us into believing Greta is some kind of worldwide phenom, when she’s about 1/10 the phenomenon of a lesser Kardashian sister.

The world elites adore Greta; people like the leftist editors at Time adore any child who will lead the world backwards to the Dark Ages, to socialism, to a centralized government where all the Deplorables become serfs. They have loved this stuff since the ’60s, when we were all told to “Listen to the children,” and all that got us was a national case of the clap and an addiction crisis.

But in the real world, the world where you and I live, a Western world filled with billions and billions of everyday people, the number of those people interested in what Guyana Greta has to say is less than that of an aging quarterback in a place called Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Perspective in these matters is important, and the only place Greta is a phenom is in the isolated, velvet-lined, elite bubbles of the media and far left.

Good people, however, flinch at the sound of her anti-science madness and threats, at her Bond-villain rants.

That's some good writing. Guyana Greta. I like it. Man, that kid is creepy. She's like Damian meets Children of the Corn. With any luck these freaks will drink the real Kool Aid, just like the Jones cult. At the very least, I'd chip in to buy them one way tickets to some jungle so they can get off the grid and live the dream.

The chans need to get on this and start making Guyana Greta memes. That would drive the left batsh*t.

I'll bet it would be a piece of cake to program Greta to assassinate someone. Not kidding.

Paying more taxes to the government is not going to change the weather. People need to get that through their thick skull.

I am still waiting for Greta to call out the biggest polluters--China and India.

You'll be waiting for a pretty long time because she has no chance of actually doing that.

Exactly, I hold no illusions. It's all focused mainly on the US because they would like nothing more than to control us and bankrupt our nation in the process.

"It is not fair that the older generation are handing over the responsibility to solve this crisis to us young people who have not started this crisis. It’s not fair that we have to do all this."

And this is a crux of the matter. The expectation that everything must be fair. Yet nobody can truly define what that is. What is fair to varies widely from one person to person and wildly so from group to group and nation to nation. She argues on the false premise of Moral Fallacy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moralistic_fallacy and she and many others are in no position to determine (the false authority fallacy) https://effectiviology.com/false-authority/ what my morals or anybody else's morals are or should be.

The nuevo socialist operates in these zones wrapping their position in empathic and/or sympathetic ways. i.e. "Don't you want clean air to breathe? Then we need to nationalize industry to accomplish this". "Clean water helps babies, so we need to eliminate all cars". This leads those who take this view into the trap of "The ends justifys the means" and statements like "against the wall" pop up and reveal the inner thinking.

btw, Greta, life is not fair. Sometimes in this world situations are put upon generations they wish they never had to deal with. All the wars throughout history can certainly be enough proof of that.

We're being governed ruled by a geriatric Alzheimer patient/puppet whose strings are being pulled by an elitist oligarchy who believe they can manage the world... imagine the utter maniacal, sociopathic hubris!

Red Bob Geldof and Guyana Greta are one in the same, politically.

That's how I was viewing it.

Well, this world's leaders are going to be put against the wall. Just not the leaders (underlings) that Greta is talking about.

German Railway Company Disputes Greta Thunberg’s Seatless Claim

    https://www.breitbart.com/environmen...eatless-claim/

    SIMON KENT 15 Dec 2019

Climate activist Greta Thunberg and Germany’s national railway company went head-to-head on social media Sunday after the teenager posted a photo of herself sitting on the floor of a train surrounded by baggage and with an empty fast food container at her feet.

She posted the tweet late Saturday with the comment: “Traveling on overcrowded trains through Germany. And I’m finally on my way home!”

Supporters pitied the “exhausted” 16-year-old Swedish activist for not being able to be seated on the train for the ride home from Madrid, where she was attending the U.N. COP25 climate conference.

They wished her a safe trip home after months of touring climate events in Europe and the United States.

Traveling on overcrowded trains through Germany. And I’m finally on my way home!

    3:53 PM - Dec 14, 2019

But German railway company Deutsche Bahn struck back. It suggested Thunberg may not have spent the whole time sitting on the floor as she alleged and instead chose to neglect her booked first class seating for the sake of a photo opportunity.

The railway company wrote in a statement to the media Thunberg had a seat in first class between Kassel and Hamburg and other members of her team were already sitting there and enjoying its lush comforts from Frankfurt onwards.

Later on Sunday, Deutsche Bahn tweeted twice more in regard to Thunberg’s train travels through Germany.

In the first tweet, the company thanks the teenager for supporting Deutsche Bahn’s battle against climate change and pointed out the train she used had been running 100 percent on eco-friendly electricity. (Describe how you determine that. Is the whole line powered entirely by windmills and unicorn farts? - AF)

In the second tweet, however, Deutsche Bahn suggested Thunberg hadn’t spent the entire train ride sitting on the floor.

The company pointed out to the teenager, “it would have been even nicer if you had also reported how friendly and competently our team served you at your seat in first class.”

The 16-year-old Swedish activist later sought to draw a line under the matter by acknowledging she eventually got a seat and that overcrowded trains are actually quite a good thing after all because it means less cars on the road.

Thunberg’s backdown was the second time in less than 24-hours she had apologized for an intemperate use of speech.

Earlier in the day she apologized for saying politicians should be put “against the wall” after critics took it to mean that she was advocating violence.

The 16-year-old Swede made the comment in a speech to young activists in the Italian city of Turin on Friday. She blamed the subsequent backlash on her meaning being lost in translation.

“That’s what happens when you improvise speeches in a second language. But of course I apologise if anyone misunderstood this,” Thunberg wrote on Twitter.
