Thread: Tulsi Gabbard Gets Support From Ron Paul People

  1. #31
Amongst all the people running in the Democrat party, she gets my support. Now let someone take this as Ron Paul people supporting Tulsi.

She support the whole climate change is going to kill us all which I hate but then she did not sign on to the green new deal which gives me a little hope that she is not all bad. So there you have it, I a Ron Paul supporter supports Tulsi in the Democrat primary. This is an improvement from my previous guy Andrew Yang.

I support her over any of the other Dem candidates. That doesn't mean I support her.

Tulsi served two tours of duty in the Middle East, and she continues her service as a Major in the Army National Guard. Tulsi’s 2005 deployment was a 12-month tour at Logistical Support Area Anaconda in Iraq, where she served in a field medical unit as a specialist with a 29th Support Battalion medical company. She was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal at the end of this tour.

In between her two tours, Tulsi served in the U.S. Senate as a legislative aide to Senator Daniel Akaka (D-HI), where she advised him on energy independence, homeland security, the environment, and veteran issues. While working for Senator Akaka in 2007, Tulsi graduated from the Accelerated Officer Candidate School at the Alabama Military Academy, where she was the first woman to finish as the distinguished honor graduate in the Academy's 50-year history. Tulsi was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and again assigned to the 29th Brigade Special Troops Battalion of the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard—this time to serve as the Military Police Platoon Leader.

    Same.

And if she's getting the Ron Paul treatment, she must be a notch above the other Dems.

Like others have said, Tulsi is the best candidate on the Democratic side but that doesn't mean I'm going to vote for her.

I'd have to register Democrat to vote for her in the primary. I don't think there are any serious Republican primary challenges around here, so I might. Just to "send a message". It's free here.

I doubt I'd vote for her in the general too. I doubt the subject will come up.

    How is he "anti" imperialist?

He was a pawn of the USSR, one of the most imperialist nations to have ever existed, their stated objective was to usher in global communism.

Lemme guess, the same way Assad is a pawn of the Russians? Btw, didn't he have a fall out with Castro over USSR involvement in Cuban affairs? Yea, USSR pawn or not, he was staunchly anti imperialist.

He was anti-US imperialism, but despite his personal views he was helping further USSR communist imperialism.

Communist imperialism failed bc the economic component does not allow them to succeed vs capitalist imperialists.

Assad is a pawn of the Russians, but the Russians don’t seem to be communist imperialists, they seem to have adopted a relatively capitalist system and are now defending against over reaching US imperialism, which isn’t quite the same as what the USSR was doing.

Imperialist USSR? how many countries in S America has the USSR occupied? yes they had a history of imperialism but years after WWII they basically used soft power and messaging win over countries. That is not what I consider to be imperialism. One country inviting another country over is OK in my book, I am not an isolationist.

Would they stand up...which 'Ron Paul people' are those?

I don't agree with statements like "no one would hire her even as a dog walker now" but controversial Tulsi Gabbard's repute lately has been not that good among RP people:

Turns out Hillary Clinton said Republicans — not Russians — were grooming Tulsi Gabbard

Gabbard received an award from Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, a New Jersey-based rabbi with close ties to casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson (the largest donor to the Republican Party). A year before Gabbard attended Boteach’s gala dinner and received his “Champion of Freedom” Award, Boteach published full-page ads in leading U.S. newspapers in which he accused Obama’s national security adviser, Susan Rice, of being responsible for the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
In 2015, she spoke at a conference of Christians United for Israel – an organization whose leader and founder, Pastor John Hagee, is a strong supporter of West Bank settlements.

I find Tulsi Gabbard more trust worthy and responsible then of those far left socialists. The fact that she is getting attacked by self hating Moore says a lot.
