I am NOT a Donald Trump fan. And I do not defend Rand Paul when I think he's wrong. Both @Swordsmyth and @dannno can attest to that. But....in this case...Rand is 100% correct. It's not about "outing" the whistleblower. It's about the fact that with an actual impeachment trial going on, the whistleblower must be "outed" at some point, unless Trump waives his 6th amendment rights, which he's not inclined to do. Further Rand has brought up a valid point that with this whistleblower being a holdover Ukraine expert from the Obama/Biden administration, he should be cross examined over his thoughts on the Joe Biden conflict of interest in seeking to fire a prosecutor investigating a company that was paying Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden $50,000 per MONTH!

I am a libertarian. I am advocating everyone enjoy maximum freedom on both personal and economic issues as long as they do not bring violence unto others.
Rand was late in 2016 in going tough on Obama, Trump was politically smart early on and rightly sensed pulse of the GOP.
Hopefully Rand won't be late this time and stick with the globalist Adelsons funded politicians for too long.

I find it very interesting when groups like Reason decide to defend particular rights over others. If you watch, you'll notice a pattern. Let's just say there's a Reason why the movement is in the toilet.
