Bevin a 2 to 1 favorite to be reelected as of right now. https://electionbettingodds.com/KY2019.html

Not great odds but better than the coin flip I keep reading about.

It looks like exit polls not looking so great for Bevin.

Edit: No exit polls. Just Bevin doing worse than any Republican in rural Kentucky of any Repub in the last decade.

Edit 2: Bevin doing worse than other Republicans on the ballot. A lot of Repubs not voting for Bevin. Public sector workers want their free $#@!. Bevin is going to need a strong Republican win on the rest of the ballot to stay in office.

Edit 3 Bevin just might hold on

This is exactly why the purist libertarian ideology would never work in this society. You'd be kicked out asap.

Hope Bevin pulls it off, I think it should be fine with Trump boost.

Exactly, we didn't get where we are overnight and we can't get to where we want to go overnight.
Incremental progress is required and alliances with those who are close to us as well.

What is he supposed to do? I want someone who will kick public sector union thugs in the mouth. Pensions and education are issues worth taking gloves off on. It might be unpopular but it is the right thing. There are some hills worth dying on. Reagan fell on the sword to beat inflation because he viewed as something he couldn't compromise on. Still got reelected.

In Kentucky, there is no automatic re-count. A candidate may request one but has to pay all of the costs of the re-count up front. With the lead over 5,000 right now, probably not worth doing. Last time the difference was only 85 votes. A recount only changed one of them.

In Mississippi, a candidate has to not only win the majority of voted but a majority of districts- otherwise the (Republican controlled) legislature will select the winner. With just 19% of the votes counted so far, the Republican Lt Governor Reeves has 55% of the ballots.

Just enough to throw the election to the left.

The LP is serving its purpose.

It's not like Bevin is a horrible RINO.
