Even in a republican dominant state, if you go after pensions and unions, you're fkd.

Imagine the kinds of ads dems were running on him in the last few weeks, thats why he was trailing and needed Trump to show up.

Some here say Trump cursed him, thats the opposite. His endorsement/victory record is something like 90%+

Possibly. They were due in by the time polls close. Military counts as part of absentee balloting.

The following individuals can vote absentee in Kentucky:[10]

Uniformed service personnel and citizens living abroad
Students who temporarily reside outside of their home counties
Voters who temporarily reside outside of Kentucky
Voters who are incarcerated but have not been convicted
Voters who are required to be outside of the county for work purposes on Election Day
    Voters "of advanced age"
Voters who suffer from disability or illness
Voters who participate in the state's Address Confidentiality Program

To vote absentee, a request for a ballot must be received by election officials at least seven days prior to the election. The ballot must then be returned by 6:00 p.m. on Election Day.

So a request for an absentee ballot can be made 7 days prior. Then you receive it, say a few days before the election. Then the ballot must be returned, i.e. picked up by the post office, by 6pm on election day? When do those arrive at the polling place?

    https://ballotpedia.org/Endorsements_by_Donald_Trump

Endorsements include appearances in television ads, radio ads, at fundraising events, and at campaign rallies. They also include official statements of endorsement by Trump or his re-election campaign, including tweets that explicitly state that Trump supports or endorses a candidate's bid for office.

This page organizes Trump's endorsements into three groups:

General endorsements: Trump's endorsements in regularly-scheduled elections, both before and after primaries.
Special election endorsements: Trump's endorsements in special elections.
Battleground primary endorsements: Trump's endorsements in Ballotpedia's battleground primaries. All of these endorsements are also included in General endorsements and Special elections.
    Results for 2018:

General Endorsements: 56 won, 40 lost for 58.3%
Special Elections: Two won, one lost. 67%.
Battleground primaries: Sixteen won, one lost - 94%.

Has to be at the election office- not the Post Office- by 6:00 pm on election day. That means that they all could be counted already.

The absentee ballot must be received in the County Clerk’s office by 6:00 p.m. local time on election day for the ballot to be counted.

That's not what your previous posts say, you allege that he is particularly bad.

The fact is that he was better than most and the best choice for liberty in this election.

Kentucky has dirty election rolls. The possibility can never be ruled out:

Kentucky has weak voter id and dirty election rolls. Voter roll clean up of up to 250,000 names underway as required under consent decree obtained by
    @JudicialWatch

So are the votes still going to be checked with dirty rolls? or is it too late for that?

Or you could just pretend that they have no argument and are some sort of traitor who should have just stayed on the plantation and voted for their master, yadda yadda yadda we've all heard it before. Take your pick.

It's not like Bevin is a horrible RINO.
The LP is going out of its way to make itself hated and destroy the cause of liberty:

The Libertarian Party of Kentucky says it is celebrating “delicious tears from Bevin supporters after Tuesday’s general election ended with a victory from Democrat Andy Beshear, a victory Governor Matt Bevin disputes. The Libertarian Party says it is thrilled to have “split the vote”.

“In an ideal world, we elect Libertarian candidates and advance liberty. Failing that, we push mainstream candidates towards liberty to advance the cause.

But if we can’t do those things, we are always happy to split the vote in a way that causes delicious tears. Tonight there are plenty of delicious tears from Bevin supporters.

Had Matt Bevin not ditched his liberty Lt Governor for a Mitch McConnell picked anti liberty, corrupt running mate who has tried to eliminate Kentuckians jury trial rights, had Matt Bevin not presided over a huge sales tax increase, had Matt Bevin supported any of our key issues on criminal justice reform, marijuana legalization, expanded gaming, cutting taxes, or acted with the least bit of civility, we probably would not have run a candidate. Of course, he did the opposite. And here we are.

We split the vote. And we could not be more thrilled. If our friends in the major parties do not want this to happen again, they should think about passing ranked choice voting. And supporting our issues.

AP and several outlets have held off calling the election for Beshear, which is quite rare, especially against a GOP candidate.

They say the results are too close and Bevin did not concede.

Interesting. 5000 votes really isn't much and can easily be made up through absentee. I'm not expecting him to win though, but can still hope.

Do I think a person who voted LP has any argument in this race? No. They don't. I vote LP often. This would be a no-brainer race to vote Republican. Bevin was a good governor who earned total support from anyone self-identifying as libertarian.

The LP ran candidates against Amash. They didn't have arguments either.

All of the other Republican candidates in Kentucky won easily. Obviously people went to the polls, voted for Republicans down-ballot, and then did not vote for Bevin. Bevin got 120K fewer votes than the Republican candidate for AG, 120K fewer votes than the Republican candidate for agriculture commissioner, 80K fewer votes than the Republican candidate for Auditor, and 50K fewer votes than the Republican candidate for Secretary of State.

Bevin was a bit toxic because he did pension reform and reigned in the power of eductators. It's a shame he lost. This was always rated a close race.

There were 14,000 mail-in ballots issued prior to the election. If all of them were returned, he would need to have brought in 68% of those in his favor to win. That's not easily made up. and that's assuming all of them were returned and none of them already included in the results.

What is your point? What you are saying would be a stronger argument for LP voters to vote for Bevin.

He lost for being principled. Being principled isn't popular. Should he have been less principled and less libertarian so LP voters would find him more appealing?

Thought for sure Bevin was going to win. Especially when Trump endorsed him.
