I do not just generally read random economists because it is all very boring and I am not really going to learn anything . If you go to Policy of Liberty there should be a list of free market economists and champions of liberty titled something like Important Free Market Economists - Policy of Liberty , policyofliberty/net/economists.html
    Do something Danke

Visit Mises.org, you will find a lot of their articles there. Walter Block, Ropert Murphy, to name a few

    That's a good question.

I'm not aware of anyone doing serious scholarly work at the moment.

The guys at the LvMI are working on popularizing the ideology AFAIK.

I tend to focus on the classics.

For some fairly recent grade-A work I'd suggest Israel Kirzner, a student of Mises and very serious economist.

His major works aren't all that new, but they're newer than Mises' anyway.

I am reading The Marginal Revolutionaries: How Austrian Economists Fought the War of Ideas Hardcover by Janek Wasserman which an interesting overview of the tradition. Just wondering what the contemporary work looks like.

I also note I haven't seen Schumpeter discussed around here much, or Drucker.

Mariana Mazzucato is looking interesting. I have her books but I haven't read them yet.
