    When I said 'they' I was referring to this from phil4paul ;
And though this generation of America hates the notion of our Republic, there are still those over there that remember, and honor our sacrifice.
So no, I should not have used 'we' instead of 'they' as I was referring to 'those over there'.

Does that clear things up for you?

Well, if they were one of the few probably still alive that were involved in raping German women, I wouldn't be so bothered by that.(and by "few" I mean enough to perpetrate 11,000 rapes in 1945 alone, according to J. Robert Lily's figures)

Such a negative existence you live. You might as well become a progressive.

Comrade, libertarians are defined by (among other things) a loathing of the criminality of the State and its agents, no matter what flag they wear.

Why do you think he's a collectivist? Because coopting every accomplishment by every American makes him feel like he does something more useful than playing the obnoxious keyboard warrior 48 hours a week.

That's not something an individualist can pull off.

Because no other army in the war raped any women and all American soldiers were rapists?

Who said, inferred or implied any of that?

Are you denying that someone can hate all rapist soldiers and all the wars that enable them? Is that too contrary to the spin you're trying to create?

The subject was America vs. Russia in WWII and the specific comment was about going to a nursing home and spitting on American veterans.
There is no point to bringing up rapists unless it was to imply that Americans were all rapists and probably that they were worse than other countries. (like the "holy" Russians)

Your disease is so advanced you either can't see America hate anymore or you defend it with misdirection even though you know what it is.

So he's no longer allowed to deplore one rapist, or one group of rapists, or one cataclysm that enabled rapists, without bringing up every rapist everywhere since the beginning of time in laborious detail?

You turn a hate of rape (and nearly every other comment you see) into anti-Americanism, but I have a disease?

    LOL

If he or you want to start a topic about rapists you are free to do so but trying to claim that bringing them up in this context isn't tarring all American veterans with the "rapist" brush is just idiotic.

Either that or you're trying to derail this thread by turning it into the usual brainless partisan battle.

    No. It isn't.

He typed, knowing the bot would consider it an invitation to derail the thread by spewing spin and heaping on the hatefulness...

Hatred for America and it's builders is apparent from the start of this thread. You can't point out the amazing feats that have been accomplished by a sense of national identity without their throwing an Obama "You didn't build that" into the mix. They hate the concept of America, they hate it's sovereignty, and they deplore individuals that don't share their nihilistic worldview. It's that winning libertarian personality. The reason they have grown so large as a party and a movement.

He was the one spewing spin and hatefulness and you just admitted he was trolling to cause trouble and get the thread derailed.

This thread seems to have been founded upon a great admiration for the United States of America, and a desire to find a way back to its greatness.

And it seems the people working hardest to derail it with bickering are those who suffer from the delusion that a politician could possibly make it great again, even though it clearly became great in spite of politicians.

    The spin begins.

Point your fingers somewhere else, and put that stuff you pull out of your ass in someone else's mouth. I admitted nothing of the sort and you know it (or, at least, the rest of the world does).

You mean the same post that contained this quote?

Our ancestors were builders and pioneers and mostly fearless.
The same post that indicates partisan government is the main reason why the U.S. of A. is not currently creating the way it once did?

We are regulators, auditors, bureaucrats, adjudicators, censors, critics, plaintiffs, defendants, social media junkies and thin-skinned scolds. A distant generation created; we mostly delay, idle and gripe.
Why, yes. Yes, I did. Why do you ask?

Nonsense. There is a vast difference between "America" as a place and "America"(TM) as a State. The former is a place where freemen can (theoretically) voluntarily live and do stuff. The latter is a malevolent force that destroyed most of Europe and lots of Asia last century and is now working on the ME. It is anti-human and anti-life except to the extent that it benefits The State.

I didn't see any comment whatsoever about the rest of the world.

As for whether the United States government is "a unique malevolent force" in the world, I'd be amused to entertain arguments that it isn't.

I'd say anyone who says anything else is either fooling themselves about how malevolent the Deep State is, or is underestimating the U.S.A.

You make this too easy, the rest of the world has shown throughout history to be much worse when in power than America, the American empire can't be defended but it is still much less bad than the empires that came before and than many of the countries that exist in its era, any dominant empires or countries that follow the end of the American empire will not be better and will likely be much worse.

But America hate is an an article of faith to the left and as the disease progresses it demands that America be portrayed as far worse than anyone else, even living in hell under the devil must be preferable.
