New Peer Reviewed Academic Study Finds Diversity Is Not A Strength

    It erodes social trust.

    Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars.com - OCTOBER 7, 2019

A new peer reviewed study by Danish academics has found that ethnic diversity has a negative impact on communities because it erodes trust.

It turns out that diversity is not a strength after all.

The study, entitled ‘Ethnic Diversity and Social Trust: A Narrative and Meta-Analytical Review’, was conducted by Peter Thisted Dinesen and Merlin Schaeffer from the University of Copenhagen and Kim Mannemar Sønderskov from Aarhus University.

Seeking to answer whether “continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity” was having a positive impact on community cohesion, the study found the opposite to be the case.

Studying existing literature and also carrying out a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies, the researchers concluded, “We find a statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies.”

Eric Kaufmann, Professor of Politics at the Birkbeck University of London, also tweeted about the study, commenting, “Higher diversity *is* significantly associated with lower trust in communities, even when controlling for deprivation.”

In other words, mass immigration is eroding community trust and harming society.

“Diversity is a strength” is a glib, onerous, empty aphorism that is shoved down our throats as a piece of received wisdom that only racists would deny.

It may be politically correct, but has no basis in actual reality.

Have to disagree there, diversity is our strength.

Does anyone really believe current America-First revolution would have been even possible without strong diversity of at least half a dozen different races/religions that MAGA's core team consisted of?

If that is not fakenews, how do you then explain that Donald Trump, perhaps the best President in US history with exception of Abraham Lincoln, is a product of New York City that is epitome of cultural diversity?

Conservative GOP Senator Ted Cruz: "Donald comes from New York and he embodies New York values." "Everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal, are pro-abortion, are pro-gay-marriage, focused around money and the media."

How about just stop stealing from your neighbor, to give to an immigrant, so they can move in next door to your neighbor?

This has been understood for quite some time now, it just can't be discussed in polite society. Bowling Alone was written in in the year 2000, and Putnam's data was compiled in the 1990s. Coming Apart was written almost a decade ago. We've had tons of data justifying this for years for years. But it's not something we can talk about. It just isn't done.

The benefits of diversity were reached 200 years ago, we built from there.
Today, we are overly saturated , we need go
no further with this 'diversity fantasy', at this juncture, it is a false promise.

We're talking about it right now.

What we have to do is stop running scared of conventional wisdom and start pointing this, (and many other truths) out to people, start pounding this into people's skulls, maybe loud enough to displace the steady thrum of bull$#@! from all the other sources.

Of course "diversity" is not a strength...it's just Marxist code words for "there are too many white (free market, limited government, capitalist) people here, we need to dilute and displace them".

Study after study after study has shown that people enjoy life the most and most happy when in small communities of similar people.

It would be more prudent to at least attempt to infiltrate the Cathedral and the managerial state. Convincing random people is fine, but it won't change anything on its own.

The study actually noted that the effect is very tiny and may be due to other factors besides diversity. But let's jump to the misleading headline and skip the conclusions.

. We cautiously conclude that there are indications of a negative relationship, although with important variations across study characteristics including national setting, context unit analyzed, and conditioning on moderating influences.

So I assume we will dismiss the numerous studies and surveys that show people are happiest when living in smallish communities with similar people?

Well we wouldn't be in this mess if 100% of the American people put value in restraining government. But instead we have so many diverse political ideologies on roles for the government to fill. Isn't it wonderful?

It was allowed to happen, of course, by a mixture of complacency and nefarious intent to water-down the foundations of liberty the country was based on, soon to be replaced by something more . . . easily controlled.
