Thumbs down India’s prime minister accused of “interfering” in the next US presidential election

Move over 'Russian inteference'... there is a new foreign interefer in town apparently.
However two (MH1BGA)and two (Indian man accused of genocide to sleep in Trump’s bed in Israel) don't seem to quite add up.

Timing just coincidence, there is no indication that the two developments are linked:

    • In past years, more than 70% of the aggregate H-1B visa applications for new jobs and visa extensions given to those born in India

MUMBAI: The US has approved a higher number of H-1B applications (both for initial visas and visa extensions for continued employment) this year, showing that the demand for these work visas continues unabated. This is a relief to Indians, who are the dominant holders of H-1B visas, especially after processing regulations got more stringent post-2015 .

Backlash against Modi as Indian PM 'endorses Trump for 2020 in breach of diplomatic convention'

Speaking in Texas, Modi repeated to rapturous applause the borrowed Trump campaign slogan: ‘Abki baar Trump sarkar (This time, [a] Trump government)’September 23, 2019

Narendra Modi, India’s prime minister, has been accused of “interfering” in the next US presidential election after he gave a speech in Texas that critics say tacitly endorsed Donald Trump for re-election in 2020.
Mr Modi made the comments as he appeared onstage alongside the US president during a rally in Houston on Sunday, which was attended by more than 50,000 members of the Indian diaspora.

Trump nominates Indian American to replace Kavanaugh
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is nominating administration official Neomi Rao to fill the appeals court seat previously held by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Trump’s announcement came on Nov. 13 during the White House’s celebration of Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. Rao, who is Indian American, was present at the event.
Trump said he was nominating Rao for the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit — sometimes referred to as the nation’s second-highest court. Rao currently serves as the administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), which is part of the Office of Management and Budget.

By endorsing Trump for presidential polls, is Modi taking a short-term view?

Given the volatility of the Trump temperament, it is anybody's guess as to what could happen, whether in the immediate 14-month term or the longer one.

During his hugely televised trip to the USA, India's prime minister may have got the volatile Trump's support by virtually endorsing him for the 2020 presidential elections during the "Howdy Modi" show at Houston on Sunday, September, 22.. At the gathering of 50,000 members of the Indian community, Modi said things like "Ab Ki Baar, Trump Sarkar" and praised him for making America great again on all fronts, military, diplomatic and economic..

However, going by the latest American opinion polls, Trump's approval rating is below 45 per cent and he is expected to lose to the top Democratic candidates, especially former vice-president (veep) Joe Biden.

However even critics would have to admit that optics could provide boost to MAGA 2020 campaign. He's looking like a rockstar at a soldout concert, sort of like Rocky A$AP of Presidents.

This is bit of a troubling development assuming below claim is factual. Modi, whose hand President is holding in this photo, is allegedly lifeling member of a Nazi inspired group that was behind killing of peace champion Gandhi. Did POTUS and Netanyahu not know about this before he was alowed to sleep in Trump's bed in Israel?

And there is now apparently some sort of 'Australia Collusion' making headlines:

Trump pushed Australian prime minister Morrison to help gather information against Mueller inquiry

Revelations come as polls show majority of Americans support impeachment

    • Andrew Buncombe Chief US Correspondent
    • 1 day ago

Donald Trump pressed the prime minister of Australia to dig up information he hoped would discredit Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, Australian officials have confirmed.
As Democrats pressed ahead with impeachment investigations against the president, issuing a subpoena to his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani for documents relating to Ukraine, it was reported the president had asked Scott Morrison to assist him in efforts to uncover how the investigation into Russia began.
The report said that as with Mr Trump’s 25 July conversation with the leader of Ukraine, in which he asked him to dig up dirt on Joe Biden, an action that led Democrats to trigger impeachment probes, details of the president’s conversation with Mr Morrison were also kept in a particularly secure server.
