1 Don't let anyone who gets a penny of government money vote
2 Limit immigration to compatible cultures and a small amount of those
3 Don't let foreign countries get away with waging trade warfare against you

It's a little known fact, but Mao Zedong came into power because his opposition failed to completely fill in the circle on the ballot when voting. Their ballots were thrown out as being invalid, Mao Zedong won his election, and countless millions died because of it.
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

The appeal of free money will always trump education, at least in the long run.

No, liberty people need to stop living in the past, nineteen or twentieth century, there are problems in this century that have the potential to destroy everything, the expense of your driving culture. You will destroy the next generation with this idea of uber freedom, it won't work.

The sad reality is that it will probably involve moving to a deep red state that has zero chance of ever going blue.

And then you have to work like hell to get rock solid people elected to the state legislature and then continue to hold them accountable. They can act as a firewall between their citizens and the federal government. But they must have the will to do so.
