Yang's Freedom Dividend (I mean tax)

Here's the rely you get when you sign up for this tax on corporate America. Where is John Galt?

    Hey!

Thank you for your entry into our campaign’s contest. Yes, you really could win $1,000 a month for the next year. (Stay tuned and read our updates to see if you’re a winner.)

So, now you’re probably asking -- why is a Democratic presidential candidate giving away $1,000 a month for a year to 10 Americans?

Learn more about Universal Basic Income -- or as we call it the Freedom Dividend -- here. It’s the most practical solution to the vast economic shift we’re undergoing.

This $1,000 a month, or Freedom Dividend, paid for by a tax on the same large tech companies disrupting our economy, is the best way to provide a foundation on which a stable, prosperous, and just society can be built.

If you want to learn more about me or why I’m running, just head to yang2020.com. You can learn more about the Freedom Dividend and find over 100 policies for building a country that puts Humanity First.

Over the next couple days I’ll share more about why I’m running, some notes from the road, and what this campaign is all about -- so stay tuned!

    -Andrew

    Why do you hate freedom?
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

On the other hand, he does offer a way to pay for his free money. Warren and Sanders don't. Trump's free money (tax cuts) were not paid for by reducing spending.

Tax cuts are not free money, they are less theft.

You are right. They add to the debt and increase future payments like interest on the debt. They also mean that more government spending is not paid for and thus is "free"- more programs are now "unfunded".

The tax cuts increased revenue along with the regulation cuts, the deficit grew because of spending.
We are still well above the threshold where cutting taxes increases revenue.

At which point will Americans realize that creating an unaccountable institution that is able to pass its liability on to tax-payers is immoral and attracts sociopaths?

I thought you might have learned something along the way but I guess not. A deficit is the difference between spending and revenues. Taking in less revenue increases the deficit. Higher spending increases the deficit. The tax cuts did not lead to higher revenues. Charts claiming they did include "fiscal year" 2018 which includes three months before the tax cuts went into effect (fiscal years start in October, the cuts went into effect in January).

I like Yang's Forward platform, it is new compared to any candidate so far or in the past certainly, and considering the changes taking place, it is a good start to try this.

You are a parasite and a slave, you like anyone who promises to rob other people and give you some in return for your obedience.

That is correct plant, let the corporate class make a mess of us poorest people in the world, they get to keep the data and the money, and you get to be silly, and stingy. The capitalism is great when it works for the top, but for most it is a long walk to a better life outside of poverty. Especially those who aren't fortunate.

I know another former Ron Paul supporter who has thrown their support behind Yang.

Sure it might sound virtuous to take from the rich and give to the poor but don't forget, the poor can and will get themselves out of poverty.

Asians, Indians are a classic case of hard work, sacrifice, delayed gratification, values all playing a part in the movement from dirt poor to success and they did it without the 1000/mo handout.

Yang is wrong, he is a technosocialists' wet dream. He isn't even right about automation, innovation creates new jobs, not less.

So his problem is wrong and his solution is wrong. Even if the problem was right, his solution is still wrong.
