    I'm not sure about the negative interest rates, I would prefer debt cancellation/default.

    Defensive tariffs are a must unless we just go for an embargo on China and other trade cheats.

    You in favor of wiping out retirement accounts for people? That is where a significant portion of US debt is held (20% of US treasuries not held by the US government are held in Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds and Depository Banks)

    yes but negative rates at least level the playing field for a while. The US is probably the only contry in the world that could get away with repudiating its debt
