Supposedly Osama Bin Laden learned a lesson from fighting against the Soviet Union. Make it expensive enough, and they will go bankrupt and collapse.
On 9/11/2001, the national debt was ~$5.7 trillion. Eighteen years later in 2019, the US national debt is over $22.5 trillion ($22,500,000,000,000.00).
The current Federal Deficit has exceeded $1 trillion per year ($1,000,000,000,000.00).
Was Osama Bin Ladin correct? Is the US now, based upon any reasonable accounting method, bankrupt?
