"In a day" is six letters and two spaces long. "a day" is four letters (and a space) long. Day itself is only three letters long.

How long that is depends on the resolution of the screen you are viewing it on and what typeface you use.

The mean length of a day is now about 86 400.002 seconds, and is increasing by about 1.7 milliseconds per century.

What we do know is that Danke is looking for a distance because he said my answer with the circumference of the earth was getting warmer.
But he didn't answer my suggested answer that was the distance the earth orbits in a day so I'm not sure what distance he is looking for.

Depends on how you define "day". The lunar day is different than the solar day, for example.

I say all days are different lengths, so I can never know how long a day is, until you tell me specifically which one you want me to measure.

Then again, it might depend on who you work for.
Some places work 4 - 10 hour days a week and they say a day is 10 hours unless it's a vacation day, then it's 8 hours.
Other places work 5 - 8 hour days a week and they say a day is 8 hours.

The evil ones say, anything more than 40 hours a week is overtime so they can work people two 20 hour days and send them home for the rest of the week and not pay any overtime. Or sometimes they work people more than 10 hours a day and then send them home after they get 40 hours and still they don't pay any overtime.

You have chosen a certain way of measuring it as the way to define the answer to the question.

    The answer is... 42

Honestly, I think he's looking for something that factors in leap seconds and leap years. I'm far too fking lazy to figure out/explain.

You win this time, Danke... But I'll return. I will return!
