Trump slams Fox News over recent polling

By Rebecca Klar - 08/18/19 05:33 PM EDT

President Trump criticized Fox News on Sunday over its recent polling, saying he doesn't "believe" the polls in recent days that have suggested he's losing ground to Democratic rivals and his disapproval rating is on the rise.

"I don't know what's happening with Fox," he told reporters as he prepared to leave New Jersey, saying he doesn't "believe" the polls.

"Fox is different. There’s no question about it," he said, adding that he's "the one calling the shots" on the general election debates.
Trump also would not directly answer questions about whether he'll debate in 2020.
A Fox News representative was not immediately available for comment.
A Fox News poll released Thursday showed Trump losing head-to-head match-ups against four top Democratic presidential primary candidates.

Nototorious neocon outlet Foxnews , that has pushed lot of fakewnews in the past, is at it again and now showing MAGA losing to Biden, Sanders and even Liz warren. This on top of very negative Drudge headline that has been put up today.
If Foxnews has joined Deep Stage to play 3D with public perceptions, this is even more disappointing.

It is certainly possible. Voters seem to be strongly leaning to "anybody but Trump" right now and are going with any name they can recognize. But polls at this point are pretty meaningless. A lot will happen between now and next November.

    Good point.

Biden win is at least plausible, EW win is very very unlikely ... unless she goes through overnight personality transformation which seems even more unlikely.

Trump has attacked every news station and outlet today. This tweet takes the cake though. I want to print it out like one of those giant checks and send it to Juan Wiliams as a gift.

Trump's Latest Approval Rating Stable, at 41%

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Donald Trump's approval rating currently stands at 41%, consistent with the 40% to 44% range it has been in since May.

These data are from the latest Gallup poll, conducted Aug. 1-14, during which news coverage was largely dominated by mass shootings that occurred in Texas and Ohio on Aug. 3 and Aug. 4. In the wake of these mass shootings, Trump has been urged to take legislative action on gun control and has held bipartisan talks about various gun control measures.

Trump's latest rating is close to his average of 41.7% for 2019 so far -- an average that is a bit higher than his average ratings for 2017 (38.5%) and 2018 (40.3%).

Currently, 88% of Republicans, 37% of independents and 4% of Democrats approve of the job Trump is doing.
His approval rating has been remarkably stable compared to other presidents. On the other hand, he has never been able to get above 45% liking him (OK- he did top out at 46% in one polling).

Have someone read the Bill of Rights to Trump, as well as inalienable rights, and explain to him
how this relates to Freedom, if he gets it , the poll numbers will improve , overnight.

Trump is getting attacked constantly by the clown car of democrats running for president and all of the media outlets. Its like he is running against all of them simultaneously. The news broadcasts anti Trump rhetoric with their coverage of mass shootings constantly. Trump has a few ways of flipping the script but he is saving that for the general election so they can't change up their propaghanda and talking points and mind control rhetoric to counter him.

Sinclair, the pro-Trump, conservative company taking over local news, explained

This month, the 193 local TV affiliates owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group began running a series of promotional segments, warning of a scourge of “fake news” promoted by “members of the media [who] use their platforms to push their own personal bias and agenda to control ‘exactly what people think.’”

The segments, which echo the Trump administration’s anti-media rhetoric, are eerily uniform across all Sinclair affiliates, so much so that Deadspin’s Timothy Burke was able to edit them together into a supercut showing dozens of Sinclair anchors saying the exact same words.

The video is just the most recent example of Sinclair stations’ strong partisan tilt. A recent paper by Emory University political scientists Gregory Martin and Josh McCrain found that when Sinclair buys a local station, its local news program begin to cover more national and less local politics, the coverage becomes more conservative, and viewership actually falls — suggesting that the rightward tilt isn’t enacted as a strategy to win more viewers but as part of a persuasion effort.

A report from the Pew Research Center last year found that 37 percent of Americans say they frequently rely on local TV for news — not far behind the 45 percent of Americans who say they get news from Facebook, and ahead of the 33 percent who say they look at news websites and apps, the 28 percent who watch cable news, the 26 percent who watch national nightly news, and the 18 percent who still read print newspapers.

That makes the partisan tilt of the hundreds of local TV stations that Sinclair owns concerning, especially since the company’s channels reach 40 percent of Americans.

The uproar over Sinclair’s “fake news” editorial prompted furious rebuttals from the company and an intervention from the president, who spoke up in the company’s defense while attacking CNN and NBC — a somewhat confusing comparison for him to make, as Sinclair owns some 25 NBC affiliates:
The company is set to become more powerful with its planned $3.9 billion acquisition of Tribune Media, which would add 42 stations to Sinclair’s 193 existing affiliates. The deal has to secure approval from the Justice Department and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Sinclair has already agreed to sell a number of stations to stay below the FCC’s requirement that TV station owners reach no more than 39 percent of US households with TVs.

Let me repeat that: Sinclair is hitting the absolute maximum level of viewer reach that a broadcasting conglomerate of its kind is allowed to have under federal regulations. The 39 percent figure is actually an underestimate because the FCC undercounts reach provided by ultra-high frequency (UHF) channels; measured accurately, the Tribune deal will let Sinclair reach 72 percent of households, Mother Jones’s Andy Kroll notes.

And unlike Fox News, Sinclair programming comes to people on local TV, on channels affiliated with ABC or NBC or CBS or Fox, many of which have existed in their communities for decades before Sinclair bought them. Millions of viewers of those stations have no idea that they’re watching conservative editorials rather than normal local news, which gives Sinclair incredible power to persuade viewers of conservative ideas.

Cool story. I guess that means that the news doesn't use mind control on people and that its only "conservative" news stations. Lets pretend like the bull$#@! is partisan, even though this has been an established tactic of mind control that all the media outlets do, even social media.

They like to inundate people with useless information and stress until they can't think critically, and then read the same script over and over again. People willingly passify their brains by doing redundant tasks and then they hypnotize themself. It's MK ultra style hypnotism/mind control. They tried doing it to me at my old job so I quit. I loved that job and gave it 11 years of my life and $#@!ing never asked for a raise or a promotion. How dare they $#@!ing try to hypnotize me and blackmail me. Then they get mad at me for trying to help my country fix its problems. They say the devil speaks through other people, these people are the devil.

They were never succesful. I worked for a cable company. They did it to make me forget things and get rid of my habit of posting political stuff online. They can cure any addiction doing this sort of hypnosis. One of the things they would do is stress me out and force me to access memories and then harass me so that I would memory hole them. Long term memories can easily be replaced with other ones when under extreme duress when one is tired or by chemical/radiation treatments. They can even cure peoples fears and PTSD this way. They have you replace the memory with a different one by getting you to access the memory and then force you to change it by over stimulating your senses and putting you under duress.

They tried to literally hypnotize me into killing myself. I studied the methods they were using before they tried it on me. When they tried putting me under duress I would pretend to be under duress. So I was fully aware of the commands they were trying to command me to kill myself. I would never kill myself by the way.
