Petition Calls For Joe Rogan To Moderate The 2020 Presidential Debate

A petition that began nearly three months ago urges the Commission on Presidential Debates to elect comedian and podcast superstar Joe Rogan as one of the moderators for the upcoming presidential debates in 2020, has gained massive amounts of signatures on Monday and Tuesday.
As of Tuesday evening, the petition, called "Get Joe Rogan to Moderate the 2020 Presidential Debate," has more than 85,000 signatures, with a goal of 150,000.

The petition explains Rogan has interviewed both progressive and conservative politicians, such as Andrew Yang (D), Tulsi Gabbard (D), Kyle Kulinski (D), Gary Johnson (L), Benjamin Shapiro (R), and Candace Owens (R), have all recently appeared on "The Joe Rogan Experience" program.
"Joe Rogan has an audience containing viewers from all areas of the political spectrum. Joe Rogan is not registered under any political party and is well-known for having civil, productive, and interesting, conversations about political issues without partisan bias," the petition said.
Bernie Sanders (I) made headlines last week when he was on Rogan's show discussing free healthcare, free college, and open access to classified government documents about aliens.

Eh, if anything it would make them more entertaining.

    Which is the point.

Will never happen. TV watchers not as likely to know Joe.

What Joe should really do is bring candidates two at a time to debate on his show. Make it like a formal debate, with scoring and bracket for the win.

I like Joe's podcast, but this is a bad idea.

The JRE podcast is the anti-dote for these debates. Instead of candidates trying to one-up each other with soundbites and personal attacks, it's an honest one-on-one conversation with a host who isn't trying to goad them with ridiculous gotcha questions.

Not sure if they're talking MSM - those moderators are sock puppets. Rogan should just use his podcast platform to host the JRE 2020 Presidential Debates.

I used to like Joe Rogan. He supported Ron Paul in 2012.
But he is now a socialist. That's very low!

LOL.. most leftists think he is a racist right-wing nutjob.

I don't think he has changed much since 2012, I don't see him promoting socialism really either. Maybe a small safety net, but not an entire socialist state. He isn't a principled libertarian, but generally he is for smaller government, more freedom, against the wars and he has been doing more to help give conservatives a voice in calling out antifa and calling out social media companies for their anti-conservative bias than anybody.

As an interviewer, he tries to walk a fine line between letting his guests have a platform for a longform discussion and trying to ask tough questions to get to the bottom of things.

With Bernie Sanders, he gave him more of the platform for longform discussion, when he probably should have pushed back a little more. He did the same thing the first time he interviewed Jack Dorsey and his fans went ape$#@!, so he interviewed him again.

"Each of us must choose which course of action we should take: education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes. But let it not be said that we did nothing." - Ron Paul

Joe is very much like Trump in that he doesn't have a philosophy set in stone and is very open to hearing ideas from everyone and making a decision based off the best arguments.

Joe is much more susceptible to left wing ideas though and he's said as much. He himself said aside from guns and a couple other minor things, he is left wing, which is sad. He doesn't even try to mount a good argument against UBI when people come on his show blabbing on about it.

I like Joe Rogan as a free thinker but his recent hosting of Amy Martin without challenging her stunning claims about MAGA's widely respected Son-in-Law would make him too controversial and even biased for an event where Foreign Policy and mideast wars debt spending would be a major topic. Even Ilhan Omar had not used such language and she was branded an 'anti-semite' by GOP-Adelson's top leadership.
Better to find a less controversial America-First mindset person.

More friendly figure like Dennis Prager, Candace Owens or Sean Hannity perhaps?

Joe needs to interview Dr.Paul or Rand before

He has been better than most "political" media. I do think
Bernie & Tulsi are his favorites
