The so called emancipator, lincoln, favored civil war over reparations (40 acres and a mule). Also, to these people who support reparations, what is the value of 750-800k lives? How many of those lives were black, and how many were slave owners? What about sherman's march, and the destruction and seizure of property? How about "reconstruction"?
It amazes me how some who are so removed from slavery, act as though they've suffered more than the slaves themselves. Here's an interesting perspective from an actual slave - I dont recall hearing a call for reparations from the "self made man", former slave Frederick Douglass:
