AOC defends wants $4,500 pay raise for herself: It's not even like a raise

    Jun 11, 2019

Sandy the bartender aka AOC has been in congress for five months now. Coming from being a bartender, she now wants a $4,500 pay raise because according to her, it's not even like a raise or something. This coming from someone who gets paid $174,000 per year to work maybe 40% out of the year.

NY should be punished for electing here . I have no problem with a 2250.00 per person surtax in her district to go towards whatever salary she would like until they replace her . As Obama reminded them , elections have consequences . Ante up for the kremlin.

Don't you just love the rhetoric, when the hoards of people say they only work x% of the year. Like it's supposed to imply that they should actually work more and do more.

I'll up the ante - take a 365 day per year vacation and I'll offer an even $200,000 per year salary.

I love the irony here, her money comes from the taxpayers and she is constantly saying she is an advocate for the broke taxpayer, what a $#@!ing joke. Raising her pay is a cost of living increase for everyone else.

Tell AOC that congress should reclaim coining, abolish the Fed, and return to real money. Then the cost of living adjustment is trivial.

Congress critters still haven't banned insider trading also.

If they are serious about serving, why can't they be more like current MAGA anti-nepotism, anti-swamp actvists Jarvanka who have been serving without pay?

I would put trust in Bolton.
But are you being funded by major neoconservtive and executing neocons agenda? If so, any infighting between Deep Stage and Neocons should be resolved in an amicable way.
Although I'm not sure if that shoukd disrupt Darin the Swamp though. Corruption should not be partisan issue.

Yes, they should work near 365 days a year, since they are getting a full-time salary. But that doesn't mean they should be legislating all that time; lets have them spend the other 60% doing work that needs to be done in their district. They could be out there picking up trash, filling potholes in those roads they love, working at soup kitchens, mowing the lawns at various govt properties, cleaning bathrooms at federal parks, and more...

Technically they can call a vote while everyone is on christmas break and change the legal definition of money so they do work 365 days a year they just don't do their job 365 days of the year.

Fair enough, how about: any day that congress is not in session, they are on the day laborer list and eligible to be called into to work by any federal govt supervisor.

That's fair to me, I consider that "at will" if they don't want to serve the country lots of people would love to make that kind of money.
