Like on that Wall Emergency Declaration? https://www.npr.org/2019/03/03/69983...forcing-a-veto

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky says he'll vote in favor of a resolution to terminate President Trump's national emergency declaration with regards to the U.S.-Mexico border. Paul's support means the resolution will likely pass the Senate with bipartisan support and could force the president to issue his first veto.

    ...not in any meaningful way.

If the general thrust of Trump's policies is Rand-approved, then Rand has utterly sold out, because Trump's policies are terrible.

But he hasn't; he just has no meaningful influence over policy, which is totally unsurprising.

So you don't think Trump is tempering Bolton? You think if Bolton was President, we wouldn't have started 5 new wars? You don't think Rand has any influence on that?

Right, Trump appointed Bolton to temper him...

You don't think Rand has any influence on that?
On Bolton having the job? Obviously not, since Bolton has the job.

"And no?" What does that mean? I didn't see where Dannno called you a dumbass. Link?
You are the rightwing embodiment of the idiotic "leftist" media and politicians who cry exclusively about Trump's mean tweets while ignoring his abhorrent policies. I'm truly sorry that my post was not kind and well-mannered enough for your liking, but I didn't think it would distract you so much from the actual content of the post, in which I absolutely destroyed your ideological compatriot, danno.

And I know you have made it abundantly clear in the past few years that you are incapable of complex thoughts, but this may be a new low. "And no" is in response to the accusation dannno made, saying that "If Trump had signed it as an Executive Order, you people would have pointed out the same thing. But you are only interested in bashing Trump.(referring to the existence of pro-israel rhetoric in the bill)" which I had made abundantly clear in the very next sentence when I typed:

"I would not point out meaningless language in the bill "we support Israel and Jews" to use to bash Trump if he signed the bill." Learn to read before trying to dissect people's posts, jeez

It wasn't meaningless language, it was literally "this bill is null and void if Israel wants us to help them do something this bill stops us from doing".

    And you are being dishonest.

The US is not currently involved in Yemen due to Israel, it's due to Saudi Arabia. That's why as of now, that language is absolutely meaningless. If Israel decided to start bombing yemen too in the future, and wanted US help, then that clause would be important.

You think they would have waited even one day to get involved?

Did you even read any of my posts in this thread, including the one you responded to? It really doesn't seem like it

I have long since won the "debate." dannno and co. have done nothing besides strawman and misrepresent the facts on this topic, like just about every single other topic.

Israel itself starting to bomb yemen, of all places, would be the most random thing ever. Your beliefs are not rooted in reality.

Bombing is not the only way they can get involved and it wouldn't be random at all, they would be "fighting Iranian backed terrorists".

    Well that's on you then.
