Thread: Multiple explosions rock Sri Lanka capital on Easter Sunday

An anon on Q’s board asked, is the suicide bomber phenomenon actually a product of a CIA/Cabal mind-control technique, and not a radical religion, making the Sri Lankan bombings a purposeful False Flag? If you put together these links here, and here, it begins to look pretty conclusively like a purposeful act.

Sri Lanka detains Syrian for questioning over attacks: Sources

    23 Apr 2019
COLOMBO: Sri Lankan police are holding a Syrian national in custody for questioning over the Easter Sunday attacks on churches and hotels, three government and military sources told Reuters on Tuesday (Apr 23).
"The terrorist investigation division of the police arrested a Syrian national following the attacks for interrogation," a source said. Two other officials with knowledge of the investigation confirmed the detention. "He was arrested after interrogation of local suspects," a second source said.

ISIS Claims Responsibility for Sri Lanka Attacks as Minister Says They Were ‘Retaliation’ for New Zealand

    Reuters / Thomas Peter
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday that killed more than 320 people. Meanwhile, a Sri Lanka government minister said they were in direct response to the mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand last month. Sri Lankan Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardene told the country’s parliament Tuesday that investigations had shown “this attack was carried out in retaliation for the attack against Muslims in Christchurch,” according to The Guardian. An intelligence memo handed to government officials weeks before the attack shows that one suspect in the bombings updated his social-media accounts “with extremist content” after a right-wing extremist killed 50 Muslim worshippers in Christchurch. Separately, ISIS claimed responsibility Tuesday for the attacks in Sri Lanka, saying via its own news agency that the “perpetrators of the attack... were Islamic State fighters.” The release also claimed the bombings targeted Christians as well as citizens of countries belonging to the coalition fighting ISIS.

Pregnant wife of Sri Lanka bomber detonates suicide vest, killing children and police

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-04-...06?pfmredir=sm

    April 25, 2019

The pregnant wife of a Sri Lanka bomber detonated a suicide vest when police raided the affluent family's home in the wake of the terror attacks, killing her own children.

    Key points:
Death toll from Sri Lanka suicide bombings stands at 359 killed, 500 injured
Two brothers at the centre of the plot were the sons of a wealthy spice merchant
Many hotel staff are not turning up to work, scared that their workplaces will be targeted
Another of the suicide bombers behind the deadly string of attacks that killed 359 people and injured 500 on Easter Sunday studied in Australia before returning to settle in Sri Lanka.

Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed studied in the UK before doing postgraduate study in Melbourne.

Sri Lanka's deputy defence minister Ruwan Wijewardene told a press conference most of the suicide bombers were well-educated and from wealthy families.

Some had law degrees, and all were Sri Lankan, he added.

Sri Lanka's president shook up the country's top security establishment after officials failed to act on intelligence reports warning of possible attacks before the Easter bombings that killed over 350 people, his office said Wednesday. The capital of Colombo, meanwhile, remained rattled by reports that police were continuing to conduct controlled detonations of suspicious items three days after the attacks on churches and luxury hotels, and the U.S. ambassador said that Washington believes "the terrorist plotting is ongoing."
During a televised speech to the nation Tuesday night, President Maithripala Sirisena said he would change the head of the defense forces within 24 hours, and on Wednesday he asked for the resignations of the defense secretary and national police chief in a dramatic internal shake-up. He did not say who would replace them.
Sirisena said he had been kept in the dark on the intelligence about the planned attacks and vowed to "take stern action" against officials who failed to share it.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe edged away from comments made by his state minister of defense that the bombings were carried out in apparent retaliation for the March 15 mosque shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand, that killed 50 people. He told reporters Wednesday that the mosque attack may have been a motivation for the bombings, but that there was no direct evidence of that.

    PLOTTING MURDER AND CHAOS

another 350 murdered. western globalist proxies. period.

Crazy $#@! is going on over there. And all of it has the very patterns as any other such large scale attack we've witnessed in last years. Known threat, known suspects, known backers. When Duterte came closer to China and Russia ISIS took over Marawi. When Assad was defiant to the globalist policy and intended to maintain partnership with Russia ISIS attacked the country. Sri Lanka intends to be a part of "Belt and Road" and cooperate with China and, suddenly, ISIS appears and strucks the country with large scale terror attack. No coinkidink here. The ISIS, irregular globalist army, has same sponsors and backers for decades. US/NATO/KSA

Playing on an amalgam of names with the letter B in them, he said the “B-Team” includes Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Bolton, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“President Trump’s aim is to bring us to our knees and talk,” Zarif said at the Asia Society in New York. “But the ‘B-team’ wants regime change at the very least.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said it will be “impossible” to slash his nation’s oil exports to zero, while Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to “respond” to the U.S. move.

“We can export as much oil as we need and as much as we intend to,” Khamenei said.

Echoing remarks by a senior Iranian military official, who said the Islamic Republic will close the strategic Strait of Hormuz if it’s prevented from using it, Zarif said Iran is committed to keeping the waters open so long as no one tries to stop it from using its “lifeline.”

Zarif said that the “B Team’s ” efforts could lead the U.S. into the type of conflict Trump vowed to keep the U.S. out of during his presidential campaign.

Accidents are possible,” Zarif said. “I don’t discount the ‘B Team’ plotting an ‘accident’ anywhere in the region, particularly as we get close to an election here.”

There have been controversial claims and conspiracy theories in public domain for a while but have not been confirmed by MSM, so should use caution before jumping to any conclusions. What would Israel gain by destabilizing Sri Lanka (situatied so far away from Syria, Iraq, Libya Palestine where ISIS type funded jihadi groups had caused massive chaos) ? Sri Lanka is also pretty far away from Iran where some neoconservative financiers of current GOP have been wishing for next war.

Israel ‘Concerned’ US War On ISIS Will Temper Hostility Toward Iran
    By Jason Ditz

The current minister, Yuval Steinitz, is at the forefront of Israeli officials expressing “concern” tonight at the new US war on ISIS, which they see as potentially getting in the way of long-term US hostility toward Iran.
Steinitz shrugged off ISIS as a “five-year problem,” while declaring Iran a “50-year problem with far greater impact,” and that more moves to stop Iran’s nuclear program ought to come before the new war.
The White House has sought to assure Israel that the new war won’t make them any less unreasonable in their negotiations with Iran, which Israel didn’t want to take place to begin with, but they can take some solace in the fact that the US seems unwilling to make a final deal with Iran.

Sri Lanka and Iran: The 2030 Nuclear Power Plant and Iranian Support

In September, Sri Lanka announced its plan to build its first nuclear power plant within the next 20 years. The Sri Lankan Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy said that they would get safety approval from the International Atomic Energy Authority. He did not mention what role Iran - a staunch, historic ally and the island nation’s main energy supplier - would play in Sri Lanka’s nuclear ambitions. A 2007 US Department of State cable leaked by WikiLeaks disclosed that the US had warned Sri Lanka to be cautious about its tight economic relationship with Iran and to stop its arms purchases from that nation. Are Sri Lankan nuclear energy ambitions a sign of it seeking a measure of independence from Iranian oil, or is it an expression of increased solidarity with an incipient nuclear Iran? In 2007, the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka urged Sri Lanka "to be very scrupulous" in entering into any new trade or investment deals with Iran.

Sri Lanka's defense secretary and police chief have resigned at the request of President Maithripala Sirisena, who has vowed to reshuffle the country's security establishment in response to lapses that enabled multiple suicide bombings to occur on Easter Sunday, The Hindu reported April 26.

Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe both claim they did not receive intelligence reports that warned of the attacks. At the same time, Sirisena asserted that the prime minister's recent prosecutions of a group of military intelligence officers weakened the country's security apparatus, thus paving the way for the bombings.

The bodies of 15 people, including six children, were discovered at the site of a fierce overnight gun battle on the east coast of Sri Lanka, a military spokesman said on Saturday, six days after suicide bombers killed more than 250 people. The shootout between troops and suspected Islamist militants erupted on Friday evening in Sainthamaruthu in Ampara, to the south of the town of Batticaloa, site of one of the Easter Sunday blasts at three churches and four luxury hotels.
A police spokesman said that three suspected suicide bombers were among the 15 dead after the shoot out.
One child caught in the crossfire was admitted to hospital.
Military spokesman Sumith Atapattu said in a statement that as troops headed towards the safe house three explosions were triggered and gunfire began.
"Troops retaliated and raided the safe house where a large cache of explosives had been stored," he said in a statement.
He said the militants were suspected members of the domestic Islamist group National Towheed Jama'at (NTJ), which has been blamed for last Sunday's attacks.
Bomb-making materials, dozens of gelignite sticks and thousands of metal balls were found in a search of a separate house in the same area, the military said.

To me the supposed “suicide vest factory” looks like a Waco kind of mass murder, with 6 children dead; or another fake story to justify Sri Lanka’s “Patriot Act”.

Some could argue that this new “Counter Terrorism Act” (CTA) makes it all the more likely that the mass murders were really just another false flag terror attack.
The CTA bill defines terrorism as:
wrongfully or unlawfully compelling the government of Sri Lanka, or any other government, or an international organization, to do or to abstain from doing any act; …
    obstructing essential services; …
[or] causing serious damage to public or private property.
This is so vague that it could easily be used to target any kind of protests against the government.

The CTA also includes violations of free speech as it states that it is a terror offense to “intentionally and unlawfully distributing or otherwise making available any information to the public, having intent to incite the commission of the offence of terrorism”.
It labels as “terrorists” those who “gather confidential information” in an “unauthorized manner … for the purpose of supplying such information to a person who commits an offence under this act”.

Many Sri Lankans fear that the new bill will dramatically increase human rights abuses and transform Sri Lanka into an ethno-police state, where Sri Lanka’s minorities will be blatantly discriminated against under the guise of fighting “terrorism”: https://www.mintpressnews.com/nation...ttacks/257940/

According to a Sunday report, Sri Lanka has banned all types of face coverings – including the Muslim Burqa traditionally worn by females – after last week’s Easter terror attacks that killed more than 300 people.
“The decision to ban all types of burqas and face covers was approved by Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena after several bombs ripped through the island nation on April 21,” according to India Today.
The island nation announced the ban via press release.
“Any form of face covering that will hinder the identification of a person is banned under emergency regulations,” the release said. “A decision has been taken by the president to ban all forms of face covering that will hinder easy identification under emergency regulations.”

Sirisena called the garment “a security risk and a flag of fundamentalism.” At least one female suicide bomber blew herself up, killing her two children and three police officers in connection with the terror attacks, as police raided her home. Her husband and brother-in-law each carried out a suicide attack.

According to the New York Times, a mere 10 days before the 21 April mass bombing a top police officer warned the Sri Lankan security services of coming suicide attacks, who have since denied receiving the message.
Specifically named is “Mohammed Zaharan”, leader of the National Thawhith Jamaan (NTJ) and that targets could be Catholic churches and the Indian High Commission in Colombo: http://archive.is/7IZiy
    (original version: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/22/w...catholics.html)

    Here’s a longer story...
Already on 4 April, India warned Sri Lankans about Zaharan planning suicide attacks.
One of the suicide bombers was arrested a few months ago.

As early as April 4, the Indians provided the Sri Lankans with cellphone numbers and information about Mr. Zaharan and his lieutenants who they said were planning suicide attacks on Catholic churches and the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka, several Sri Lankan and Indian officials said.

One of the suicide bombers had even been arrested just a few months ago, Sri Lankan officials disclosed on Monday, on suspicion of having vandalized a statue of Buddha, an inflammatory act in a Buddhist-majority nation where strident religiosity, on all sides, seems to be increasing.

Sri Lanka has expelled more than 600 foreign nationals, including approximately 200 Islamic clerics since the Easter suicide bombings at three churches and three luxury hotels that killed 257 people and wounded nearly 500.

The attacks were led by a local Islamic cleric known to have traveled to India where he made contact with jihadis.
Home Affairs Minister Vajira Abeywardena said the clerics had entered the country legally, but amid a security crackdown after the attacks were found to have overstayed their visas, for which fines were imposed and they were expelled from the island. -Daily Mirror
"Considering the current situation in the country, we have reviewed the visas system and took a decision to tighten visa restrictions for religious teachers," said Abeywardena, adding "Out of those who were sent out, about 200 were Islamic preachers."
Police said that many of those expelled include foreigners from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Maldives who have overstayed their visas.
"There are religious institutions which have been getting down foreign preachers for decades," Abeywardena said. "We have no issues with them, but there are some which mushroomed recently. We will pay more attention to them."
Sri Lanka is overhauling the country's visa police in the wake of the attacks, as authorities now fear that foreign clerics might radicalize locals for future attacks. A state of emergency was imposed after the attacks which give wide powers to police and troops in order to arrest and detain suspects for extended periods.

Lebanese news outlet Alahed News has reported that the Saudi government sent a letter to the Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka, only 5 days before the Sri Lanka bombings were staged...

The letter, signed by Saudi Foreign Minister Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz al-Assaf, instructs the Ambassador to carry out the following steps.
Delete all documents, computer data and latest correspondence with domestic and foreign members and groups.

Impose a curfew for the embassy personnel.

Inform all those related to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including counsellors, security forces and intelligence during the three coming days, especially on the Christian Easter Day, to avoid any presence in public and crowded places namely churches.

I think this story is just too bizarre to believe!
Five days before the bombings, warning about the “three coming days, especially on the Christian Easter Day”?
