Richard Adams spoke to News 5 about his arrest.

EASTLAKE, Ohio — The Eastlake Police Department posted to Facebook to respond to community outrage over the arrest of Richard Adams, who was also charged with felonious assault for attacking a teen he allegedly witnessed molesting a 5-year-old boy.

“We have received numerous e mails, phone calls and communications in which people have expressed their emotions and frustrations with the recent case that we had involving the investigation of a rape of a 5 year old and the assault of the accused 17 year old male,” the post states.

The post goes on to state that Adams has been out on a personal bond since Friday, the day after the incident occurred, and he has been assigned a court date.

“We truly understand the interest, passion and concerns with this type of case,” the post continues. “It has been processed by the court and will continue to go through the system. Most of the people within our police departments, courts and the entire justice system have families of their own and the men and women are diligently working to ensure that everything is done correctly so that justice is served.”

The post concludes: “To attack people within the system to achieve a certain outcome is not what justice is about. We appreciate the impact that this story has had on the community and beyond but we expect people to be civil in expressing their disagreement and/or support of what has and will take place.”

Adams, 20, was arrested and charged after a fight broke out between him and the 17-year-old who he saw sexually assaulting a 5-year-old-boy, according to an Eastlake police report.

Adams said he walked into the living room of the home on East 363rd Street and saw the teen on top of the child with the child’s pants around his ankles.

He should have allowed the molestation continue while he dialed 911 or shot a video of it.

It is the job of the police to beat, tase, or shoot the suspect. Civilians should not try to do these tasks. It takes a trained professional following strict protocols and procedures. Stay in your lane kid.

Yep, when a little kid is being raped, the police are only (30) minutes away. Let the professionals handle it.

Apparently the police want people witnessing this to not do anything.

You can't tell me, for one second, that the decision to arrest and charge this kid did not come from much, much higher up the chain of command than the local cops.

This serves a purpose and it is one of the quiet, distant rumblings of artillery salvos in the next front in the Weirdosexual War.

And the war on self defense/defending others.

Only the King's men may use violence.

It's like when certain states hired deer assassins to cut down on the deer population instead of issuing more deer tags to hunters who would have paid for them, that was done to set the precedent that they are the King's deer and that hunting them is a privilege not a right.

Yes, that is certainly a part of it as well.

But just so I am making myself clear to the casual reader:

This arrest was part of the very nascent stages of the current move to normalize, celebrate, be prideful of and eventually make it a criminal offense to oppose prepubescent pedophilia.

So it's just "see something, say something", even if the victim(s) could be saved by bystanders... Isn't this a lovely dystopia we've got here. :'( #kurwa

    and they call me "dangerous"

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Seems like this would be a good case for Jury Nullification. If jurors even knew they could do that.
