It's hard to feel sorry for Seattle. They still don't get that it's because of their own stupidity and progressive mindset that the city is $#@!hole.
"The Patriarch"
How did Seattle get so bad? No state tax, big economy, legal cannabis. Not exactly an enemy of liberty. Yet socialist culture and homeless all over.
So what happened. Is it more than just importing Californians? Seattle was not like this in the 90s.
I guess it depends on how you define liberty. I would say it is a huge enemy of liberty. Ask a small business man, ask any building contractor, homeowner, etc.. "Yet Socialist culture..", I think you answered your own question. Being "woke" in Seattle doesn't mean 'sleepless' anymore.

Nope not gonna feel sorry for Seattle one bit. They chose to live in that $#@!hole.

SIGH...what a damn shame. This is all being done by design.
“The spirits of darkness are now among us. We have to be on guard so that we may realize what is happening when we encounter them and gain a real idea of where they are to be found. The most dangerous thing you can do in the immediate future will be to give yourself up unconsciously to the influences which are definitely present.” ~ Rudolf Steiner
Watching this makes me question the whole drug legalization policy. People are going to wreck themselves if you allow them to do drugs and like in Seattle attempt to take their communities down with them.
Stay away from drugs kids. Nothing good can come out of it
I really don't know what the solution is
Meth, heroine etc. If you watched the documentary, everybody they talked to said that 100% of the homeless that is at the root of this problem abuse drugs. I would like to believe that allowing people to do drugs would have less harmful consequences on society but what I am seeing makes me think my original belief if wrong.
Actually every large city in the pacific northwest ( seattle , portland etc )and pretty much soon colorado is over run with ignorant communists that could $#@! up anything ever known to mankind and is anti liberty to the core . There are city ordinances against simple things like carrying a pocket knife or panning gold in a river . Bye seattle . Mike Pence would improve liberty in a $#@!hole like that by 80 percent and most libertarians view him as statist .

Could "Seattle Freeze" be a contributing factor in all of this?
Actually I have seen other documentaries about homeless crisis in Seattle and the problem is that drug abusing homeless people cannot follow the rules at the shelters and they end up leaving or kicked out because of it.
So I would wager to guess that the drugs use is the main cause of the homeless crisis and not the homelessness causing the drug use.
Can I quote on this post? I am in need of a new sig.
For anyone who doesn't know it, the OP information is from a documentary. I just mentioned that I viewed another documentary in addition to this one that showed a different perspective of the crisis. This documentary actually bolsters the information presented in the OP and doesn't contradict it at all. So yea, sue me for using a documentary as my source of info.Origanalist: We must defer to Juleswin's greater knowledge on the homeless crisis in Seattle.
