Thread: Yes Rand Paul, there is an emergency at our border!

  1. #601
I am just trying to think what I would do if I was President and I made promise to my voters that congress refused to let me keep for petty political reasons.
Yup, emergency powers would be used, I just wouldn't let them win based on lies and diametrically opposed political ideology that is damaging the country.
Rand is right and wrong, it's not good enough to say sorry folks congress refused to give me enough money, dangerous precedent be dammed, we can cross that bridge at the SCOTUS when it arrives.
It's more fear mongering from the left, and if they don't get their radical alt-lefts under control.......anything just left of center and everything the other way isn't voting for the DNC in 2020 anyways.

This is why Anne Coulter is wrong in reality, and Rand Paul is right from a purely ideological perspective that lives in a perfect bubble, we are so far from that, but I still wish it worked, and he was right.

the dollar vs federal reserve notes . . . they are not the same!

There is a big distinction between the two and confusing the two avoids a discussion as to why our founding fathers specifically intended to forbid notes of any kind to be made a legal “tender either for public or private debts“!

The slide of hand which has taken place, and which even Ron Paul has yet to articulate is, a thieving money monopoly has been created by the simple act of making “federal reserve notes” a LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS PUBLIC AND PRIVATE which is in defiance of our founding fathers intentions as documented in The Debates in the Federal Convention of 1787, reported by James Madison : August 16

[FN23] This vote in the affirmative by Virga. was occasioned by the acquiescence of Mr. Madison who became satisfied that striking out the words would not disable the Govt. from the use of public notes as far as they could be safe & proper; & would only cut off the pretext for a paper currency, and particularly for making the bills a tender either for public or private debts.

Our founding fathers were firm believers in a free market system and allowing the federal government to declare a specific bank’s notes to be a legal tender would literally create a government approved money monopoly and would force people and businesses to accept notes in payment of debt, even if they were not “safe and proper”.

If you get time I suggest you read Roger Sherman’s A Caveat Against Injustice … An inquiry into the evils of a fluctuating medium of exchange. Sherman who lived in Connecticut was defrauded by a legal tender law made in Rhode Island which required him to accept worthless script in payment of debt which had been made a legal tender under the force of government. As one of the delegates to the Convention which framed our Constitution, he was therefore determined to prohibit our government from emitting bills on the credit of the united States and likewise prohibiting notes of any kind to be made a legal tender in payment of debt to avoid the fraud which historically takes place without such prohibitions.

The bottom line is, the market place, and only the market place, is best suited to determine "honest money", and which notes, if any, may be safe and proper to accept in payment of debt.

Numbers. It makes more sense to war with the "internal anti-liberty forces" rather than the internal anti-liberty forces and their foreign mercenaries.

You would still need some active border control measures because you can't and don't want to get rid of the natural incentives.

So why further the agenda with anti-liberty positions? Restricting freedom to travel freely, eminent domain, more government employees...

I can’t buy into it. Staying principled and teaching others is the only way we can achieve our goal.

Protecting our citizens from foreign invaders that are being brought here to supply the final straw that will break the liberty camel's back forever is NOT an anti-liberty position and it is principled.

We can't teach the invaders as fast as they come, we have a hard enough time teaching the natives as fast as they breed.

I think it is pretty clear to everyone what you stated above since it is just way too damn obvious. Just going through this thread and reading the absurdity of you and other long time members stating the obvious in the real world not some philosophical implementation of libertarian ideology in a non-existent fantasy realm.

I think what we see not only here is people intentionally ignoring that fact for the real purpose of advancing the anti-liberty position. It is what the elites are using the libertarian party for which on fools follow their lead or those that are also using the LP as a tool to advance anti-liberty positions.

The other segment of folks that have not been mentioned may simply support the invasion due to tribal, ethnic or racial allegiance to foreign peoples or powers. A few here are always barking "racist" or "storm front". It is probably more likely there are zero to none white racists on their forum and it is actually the other way around.

Anyone who's actively trying to recruit white people to "protect white majority neighborhoods" is a racist. The fact that such a person would then lie and call people who call them out as racist is laughable. And you completely missed AF's point, he didn't pick Rawanda because the people there were black, he picked it because it is a famous case of racial genocide.
But as a reverse racist you immediately assumed he chose it because they were black.

Bullshyt. Total bullshyt. The first comment to bring up race was about white minority neighborhoods. But I don't expect you to ever tell the truth.

I didn't say anything about race dumbass. I pointed out that Rwanda, while once a famous case of ethnic (not racial moron), genocide is now a poster child for economic freedom. And you just made the Rwanda genocide about race when both groups were black.

And the reason that is an issue to some people is because "minorities" are hostile to whites thanks to the left, nobody would care if they weren't.
The left started this snowball rolling downhill and only they can stop it, whites are not the ones who keep pushing the accelerator peddle farther down.

Race/ethnicity, it's all part of the same spectrum and people use the terms interchangeably.
And YOU made it about race:

Perhaps you do it without even realizing it because it is such a deeply integrated part of your world view.
