Gay Muslim migrant in blonde wig to represent France in Eurovision Song Contest

    https://voiceofeurope.com/2019/02/ga...-song-contest/

    22 February 2019

Bilal Hassani, a 19-year-old from Paris, recently won France’s selection contest for Eurovision with his song “Roi.”
Hassani was born to a Muslim family of Moroccan origin, is gay and performs in colorful wigs and heavy makeup.
He was well-known in France before the contest as an internet personality and for performing in a song contest for youth when he was 15.
The gender-bending singer, has received hateful messages and threats due to his sexuality and appearance and for his planned trip to Tel Aviv in May.
Israel won the right to host the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest by winning the 2018 edition, with singer Netta Barzilai’s “Toy.”
Hassani described himself as a “huge, huge fan” of Barzilai. His winning song, “Roi,” or “King,” carries a message of self-acceptance and empowerment similar to Barzilai’s “Toy.”
Earlier this year he was forced on the defensive after being accused by online critics of trivialising terrorism and making controversial remarks about Israel while he was in his early teens.
A tweet from August 2014 in which he accused of a “crime against humanity” during a ground offensive in Gaza has been shared online.
In another tweet earlier that year, he appeared to defend controversial comedian Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, a convicted anti-Semite.
Hassani told Le Parisien that at the time of the tweets he was “young and stupid” and that other people might have posted the messages under his name.
A video from 2018 has also surfaced in which Hassani and two friends declare “France suffered a lot, attacks here, attacks there. Oooh!” to hoots of laughter.
A senator from the conservative Republicans party wrote to the Eurovision jury to ask them to withdraw Hassani’s nomination for “trivializing” the series of jihadist attacks that claimed nearly 300 lives in France between 2015 and 2018.
As for the song and performance, it’s lame and boring and Bilal’s voice is mediocre at best. In a normal song contest it would not end up in the top ten, but this is Eurovision and the fact that he’s gay, Muslim and a migrant will most likely generate extra points, so who knows.

I'm surprised he knows he's a he. Still, shouldn't a gay muslim be flying high until they come down to Earth?

From the looks of today’s press conference, this seems to be a “fluff” policy report with no real intent on any significant action other than placating the left. Trump doesn’t even seem aware of it. Smoke and mirrors.
In an Oval Office exchange with reporters, Trump was asked about the plan, which was first reported by NBC News on Tuesday.
“Mr. President, on your push to decriminalize homosexuality, are you going to do that? And why?”
    “Say it?” Trump responded.
“Your push to decriminalize homosexuality around the world,” the reporter clarified.
“I don’t know which report you’re talking about,” Trump said. “We have many reports.”

Maybe he was seeing a man about a horse during that briefing.

How about the $25,000,000 that shall be transferred to and merged with funds appropriated under the heading "International Organizations” in that “emergency” spending bill?

Did anybody ask him about that? Or did he miss that briefing too?

You're gonna need a lot more than that. Some people don't have enough problems in their lives; they gotta make new ones up, I guess.

Glad we have these forums to help us stupid people understand what we're supposed to be afraid of.

Russian bots rigged Voice Kids TV talent show result

The result of a popular Russian TV talent show - The Voice Kids - has been cancelled after thousands of fraudulent votes were found to have handed victory to a millionaire's young daughter.

There were complaints after singer Mikella Abramova, aged 10, won with 56.5% of the phone-in vote.

She is the daughter of pop singer Alsou and wealthy businessman Yan Abramov.

State-owned Channel One TV says it will make its voting system safer, and the children will appear in a special show.

A cyber security firm, Group-IB, was hired to examine the vote for Mikella Abramova, after the final of The Voice Kids, which is in its sixth season on Russian TV.

"The interim results of the check confirm that there was outside influence on the voting, which affected the result," a Channel One statement said (in Russian).

The Voice Kids is a worldwide franchise, a spin-off from the hugely popular talent show The Voice.

Channel One said the voting scam on 26 April "must be the first and last time that anyone tries to control the audience's choice".

However, it added: "Children should not take the blame for actions carried out by somebody else. Each participant becomes a member of the big Voice family." It remains unclear who was behind the scam.

    'Bots were used'
According to investigators, more than 8,000 text messages were sent from about 300 phone numbers during the vote.

A Group-IB statement said (in Russian) that sequential phone numbers had been used to send automated votes - in other words, "bots were used in this case".

"More than 30,000 votes came in for one contestant from those phone numbers," Group-IB said. Rival singers got no more than 3,000 votes each, Russia's Kommersant daily reported.

Bots are automated programmes which can carry out a command thousands of times.

Not every country has the same immigration policy as US.

I think for pretty much every country if you are born in the country and live your whole life there, you are not considered an immigrant.
