    Nice When incorporating fruit into the diet, keep in mind timing for eating it-it has fructose and eating that has consequences both potentially positive and negative.

    I have been researching stuff like this a lot, I have especially been interested in ginger root compounds and their effects on atherosclerosis.. I think they mostly have mouse models but they seem to be able to prevent and even treat atherosclerosis plaques within the vascular system to a degree which is very cool

    its funny to see scientists stepping away from synthetic organic chem and small molecule medicine and instead find the same sort of properties they have been looking for already in food without many of the nasty side effects that come with some modern treatments.. like cabbage has compounds that break down into isothiocyanates and other sulfur containing compounds which are being researched as anti-cancer agents in clinical trials
