IMV; There should be zero taxes on your Primary Residence.
I'm not fond of sales taxes on a Primary Residence either, but
the most evil tax of all is that tax which literally allows the government
to put you out on the street should you miss those rent payments.
Some of us might have our mortgages paid off, but the rent we owe
the government is there till the day we die , extortion.

The least they could do, when you have retired and living on a fixed income, allow you to stop paying those property taxes.

I have been saying since I came to these forums over 10 years ago that private property rights should be the number 1 issue. You do not really own property if you are renting from government which is what property taxes are.

I agree, funny how the 'division' works, keeps Americans from combining forces on the issues that really count.
