That Guaido thing was damn creepy and definitely a first. Inviting a CIA regime change puppet to sit in the chamber for an SOTU and receive an ovation? Wow.

The true & legitimate Venezuelian VP Miguel Pence, rose twice to applaud his president Juan Guaido. Clearly he's eager to assume his place as Juan Guaido's VP in '21, after socialists Maduro & Trump are removed from office.

U.S. moves to seize Iranian petroleum aboard four tankers bound for Venezuela in sanctions escalation, push to extend arms embargo

U.S. authorities have moved to seize the cargo of four oil tankers carrying gasoline and fuel products from Iran to Venezuela, escalating a sanctions battle with two regimes Washington opposes and a contest over Iranian oil shipments that allegedly finance its nuclear program.

The action comes weeks after Iran sent five tankers and 1.5 million barrels of gasoline in a symbolic gesture of support to embattled Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in defiance of the Trump administration.

A U.S. judge in Washington signed a seizure warrant Thursday for Venezuela-bound shipments aboard four other tankers — the Bella, Bering, Pandi and Luna — whose deliveries were disrupted. Prosecutors estimated their cargo included 1.2 million barrels of gasoline worth nearly $50 million — the seizure of which would be a blow the U.S. government aimed at Iran’s use of third-party shippers to avert economic penalties.

    Ok.
To give credit where due, during his first term Trump's foreign policy focus has been more on sanctions/economic warfare/trade wars etc and headlines like 'Ivanka pushed humanitarian Syria bombing' and "dropped most numbers of bombs/MOABs in a year in the unwinnable Afghanistan occupation" may have been partially fakenews to appease the 'follow the money' doctrine needs.

Still no new wars and we are leaving Afghanistan and starting to leave Iraq.

    Abrams must be dissapointed.

There is some merit to that statement, especially if few months from now Abrams would be in same dustbin where neocon Bolton is.

Also, sometimes one wonders if he was partially right in that he would be an 'imperfect big puppet' of donors as opposed to 'perfect little puppet' that weaklings like Rubio can be. Used this meme before to showcase hypocrisy but what if he was partially telling the truth. His high focus on sef-promotion is also not ideal for any lean mean neocon op, maybe he is the disrputer in everything.

He must be, since Venezuela still is under Maduro's control and Iranian boats are still docking there without interference. His bumbling VZ plan didn't appear to work very well.

Interesting. I've heard from reliable sources that the Kochs are desperately trying to gain control of YAL by waving money in exchange for following Koch guidelines of activism.

@enhanced_deficit, When will your fake news manipulation end?

Aside from sharing a similar vision of ending 'forever' wars, Ruger has nothing to do with Soros.

Soros and Koch joined together to form https://newspunch.com/george-soros-charles-koch-end-us-forever-war-policy/. Ruger has nothing to do with that. His bio can be found here.

Interestingly enough, Ruger has good bonafides like being "the author of the biography Milton Friedman",

There is this. How does someone complain about Soros for most things but then say "Soros OK" when he advocates for winding down the war efforts? Hmm....seems to me that the elite focus is simply shifting and therefore looking to shift the footsoldiers efforts elsewhere. Could it all be controlled from behind the scenes? Is it because non-interventionism finally won out or rather because the subversion of countries into the UN/NWO has been completed and such war efforts are now no longer needed? How about the global reserve dollar that funded it? Same fate? No longer needed?

    https://www.politico.com/news/2019/1...ss-wars-074737

George Soros and Charles Koch don't agree on much. But they are linking arms to advance a major foreign policy objective they both share: winding down America's "endless wars."
Relevant for thought is how pro sports have pivoted from being non-stop military worship ceremonies to BLM inspired social justice ceremonies instead...

Boy, this sure didn't get much attention. Now, there's a push to reimpose sanctions on Iran.

Abrams is now the "special envoy to IRAN"
    https://www.israelhayom.com/2020/08/...envoy-on-iran/

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday tapped Elliott Abrams, a longtime foreign policy hawk, as the administration's special envoy on Iran. Abrams will replace Brian Hook, who stepped down last week.

Abrams currently serves as the US special Venezuela envoy, a role he is expected to retain.

There was another slippery slope win for GOPAcons funders that didn't get much coverage on TV talk shows:

Joe Lieberman: 'World is a lot better off' thanks to Iraq War
    msnbc
Oct 12, 2015 - I think the world is a lot better off, not withstanding all the problems in Iraq,” former Sen. Joe Lieberman told MSNBC on Monday in an interview.

Former Democratic vice presidential candidate, former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, an No Labels co-chairman, introduces Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to speak at a No Labels Problem Solver

He advocated for the Iraq War
The former senator from Connecticut was one of the most hawkish voices during debates about the invasion of Iraq.
Lieberman was actually the sponsor of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002, which ultimately sent troops overseas.

Later, in 2005, McCain defended his position, and argued that troops had to stay on the ground.
As he told The Wall Street Journal, “I am disappointed by Democrats who are more focused on how President Bush took America into the war in Iraq almost three years ago, and by Republicans who are more worried about whether the war will bring them down in next November's elections, than they are concerned about how we continue the progress in Iraq in the months and years ahead.”

    Supporting Donald Trump
Lieberman speculated on a Trump presidency as far back as 1999. “The Donald is quite a ladies’ man,” Lieberman said at a Washington event, as Newsweek reported. “He’s going to have, if elected, an all-female cabinet…. Secretary of Energy Carmen Electra, Secretary of Defense Xena the Warrior Princess.”
His praise of Trump became more serious in more recent years. Lieberman said he agreed with Trump’s decision to move the American embassy in Israel, and of Trump’s policies on Iran.

Lieberman was reportedly being considered for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
