He's going to give the Democrats an ultimatum of a week or two to come to the table and negotiate, and if they fail, he will be declaring a national emergency in order to get funds from the Pentagon to pay for the wall.

But in all honesty, it feels like it's going to be the default disappointment. He could keep the momentum going, keep the government shut down, continue making fools of the Democrats, continue making fools of the deep state run media, etc, but he will do something that slips himself up and betrays his base instead. That's what it often feels like, but you never know until he actually commits. The Syria and Afghanistan announcements were massive surprises, praying it's something like that, but not exactly hopeful. Either way, enjoying the hilarity of the Democrat elites squirming like crazy with the Great Flight Cancellation and Great Bus Fiasco of 2019.

Hopefully won't be remembered for cancellation of great SOTU speech with live national TV coverage.

It's not illegal for the Corp of Engineers and National Guard units to build & repair walls and fences, that's for sure. There are many unit logos on the Operation Gatekeeper runway mat wall between San Diego and Jacumba, built in the '90's. There are also Corp of Engineer yards for equipment and supplies on the border. It takes upkeep just to keep the wall & fencing standing.

The steel mat gets torch cut next to the posts and then smeared with mud to make them less noticeable, and you can knock the section of runway down easily. That's why I prefer a concrete pillars with gaps wall, although even those could be cut.

BP looks for stuff like that and gets it fixed quickly.

Just something to consider... Trump doesn’t call the shots. TPTB may know that liberty is rising, to some degree more or less. To keep the duopoly alive and well trump gains “support”, throws a few good bones here and there that the base supports, keeping them distracted.

I am deeply concerned about that USMCA and also Property Rights. Too many neocons on other forums support that USMCA, never even having read it and believe it is the greatest agreement in their lifetime. While cheering and urging trump to take land that does not belong to them to build a wall, never uttering a word to end any incentives. Of course USMCA along with forfeiting Private Property are U.N. agendas.

Which side “folds” is not the issue. TPTB, Tech Sector Lobbyists in bed with UN and their initiatives throughout the world, who want Bio-ID, facial recognition, drones, and other surveillance technologies, paid for by the tax payer, will provide instruction to the WH, depending on what if any “outcry” from the people at this point and time.

Trump continues to look like the reasonable one who is trying to end the shutdown and yet he never has to pay off on any of the compromises he offers because he knows that Pelosi will never agree to $1 for the wall.

He can declare an emergency and build the wall any time he wants or he can keep the shutdown going until the 2020 election while it becomes ever more clear that Pelosi is the problem.

I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall. This was in no way a concession. It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it’s off to the races!
