If lightbulbs last as long as advertised, it would be possible for people living now to go thru life and never have to change a lightbulb.
As far as cooking goes, a need to cook and a desire for good food at reasonable cost can easily turn people into good cooks in no time. Can see videos on how to make just about anything these days.
