Feds Can't Force You To Unlock Your iPhone With Finger Or Face, Judge Rules

    https://yro.slashdot.org/story/19/01...ce-judge-rules

A California judge has ruled that American cops can't force people to unlock a mobile phone with their face or finger. The ruling goes further to protect people's private lives from government searches than any before and is being hailed as a potentially landmark decision. From a report:

Previously, U.S. judges had ruled that police were allowed to force unlock devices like Apple's iPhone with biometrics, such as fingerprints, faces or irises. That was despite the fact feds weren't permitted to force a suspect to divulge a passcode. But according to a ruling uncovered by Forbes, all logins are equal. The order came from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in the denial of a search warrant for an unspecified property in Oakland. The warrant was filed as part of an investigation into a Facebook extortion crime, in which a victim was asked to pay up or have an "embarassing" video of them publicly released. The cops had some suspects in mind and wanted to raid their property. In doing so, the feds also wanted to open up any phone on the premises via facial recognition, a fingerprint or an iris.
A Judge in California? Im actually more shocked by a Californian upholding Privacy than by a Judge upholding Privacy.

They dont need your consent, your cooperation. Your biometrics will be voluntarily submitted by your provider (i.e. google), either by request or by granted access to law enforcement.

Yep. Its exactly how Govt circumvents the 4th Amendment. By getting companies to do their dirty work for them, then paying those companies with money they print, money that steals the value of the money in your pocket, keeping the Slaves Enslaved.

And its not just from here, its EVERYWHERE. There is now no doubt in my mind that we are heading toward a MAJOR POLITCAL PARADIGM SHIFT, towards an exceptionally oppressive system of rule.

Funny how in days of old, they could do those jobs just fine by getting a WARRANT when suspicion of Wrongdoing was present. Today, we have the Inverse. Today, you are GUILTY until YOU PROVE YOURSELF INNOCENT. All this data, and the concept of THREE FELONIES PER DAY, every single person is now a Criminal, except those who are vetted by the Criminals in office, or if one presents themselves to the Status Quo as not being a threat to either the system itself or their Authority.

If cryptocurrency is possible, I suggest your files/data/information be encrypted into an un-hackable account where no one but you know who it belongs to.

That is one mistake constantly make about Cryptocurrency, is that it is not trackable. It very much is, which is why the Fed and other Mega Banks, including the IMF, are trying to kick off their own version. Every transaction will be FULLY trackable due to the unique signature of each digital coin or unit of currency has.

Crypto is Trackable by design, at least the ones that the Banks want.

    Are Bitcoin Transactions Traceable?
    https://cointelegraph.com/news/are-b...ions-traceable

Some people blame Bitcoin for its use in criminal situations. In the past we have seen Ross Ulbricht, Silk Road creator’s case as well as Trendon Shavers’ case, who has plead guilty to running a Bitcoin Ponzi scheme starting back in 2011 until 2015.

All these revelations were based in the Blockchain that Bitcoin transactions create. Academic researchers and Bitcoin experts helped law enforcement put an end in these cases. But are Bitcoin transactions traceable?

Traceable unless designed not to be

Derick Smith, Architect at Protocol in Blockchain Solutions, comments:

“They are traceable unless they are expressly designed not to be so. This is the case with certain Bitcoin obfuscation techniques, or with a cryptocurrency like Dash's Darksend”.

Where is it encrypted? If its in "the cloud" they already have the keys to their own locks. If its on your computer and your hardware, thats a lot safer, but not impossible if they have full access to your computer.

Easiest encryption is to use actual paper. You cant hack paper.
