Thread: Jeff Bezos is an Idiot

    Jeff Bezos is an Idiot

Four children, married 25 years to a woman who is way out of his league, yet still married him when he had relatively nothing. To run off with a gold-digger. Idiot.

    ——

Jeff Bezos ‘has been seeing’ estranged wife of Hollywood mogul

Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos has been secretly having a relationship with Lauren Sanchez, a former TV anchor and the glamorous wife of Hollywood talent mogul Patrick Whitesell.

The world’s richest man Bezos just announced his divorce from wife of 25 years MacKenzie, but Page Six can exclusively reveal he has secretly been seeing Sanchez, a former anchor of Fox’s “Good Day LA.”

Sources said that Bezos, 54, and Sanchez, 49, – who also works as a helicopter pilot – got to know each other through her WME/IMG husband Whitesell, one of Hollywood’s most powerful men and agent to stars including Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Kevin Costner, Hugh Jackman, plus a host of other A-listers.
    ...
Sanchez and Whitesell wed in 2005 and have two young children. She also has a teenage son, from her first marriage, to former NFLer Tony Gonzalez. They have not yet formally filed for divorce.

Everything Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Wife MacKenzie Have Said About Their Two-Decade Love Story

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos announced in a tweet on Wednesday that he and his wife MacKenzie are divorcing after 25 years of marriage. The split comes as a surprise after the couple’s journey to Internet domination.

“We’ve had such a great life together as a married couple, and we also see wonderful futures ahead, as parents, friends, partners in ventures and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures,” Jeff wrote. “Though the labels might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished friends.”

The couple, who share four children (three sons and a daughter adopted from China), first met at the investment management firm D.E. Shaw in 1993 in New York City, where he served as vice president. MacKenzie was a research associate and Jeff was the first person to interview her at the firm.
    ...
For Jeff’s part, he knew exactly what he was looking for: a “resourceful” woman — and MacKenzie fit the bill.

“Nobody knows what you mean when you say, ‘I’m looking for a resourceful woman,'” he told Wired. “If I tell somebody I’m looking for a woman who can get me out of a Third World prison, they start thinking Ross Perot — they have something they can hang their hat on!”

Of their first meeting, Jeff joked to Vogue: “I think my wife is resourceful, smart, brainy, and hot, but I had the good fortune of having seen her résumé before I met her, so I knew exactly what her SATs were.”

They were engaged after three months of dating, and married just three months later. Shortly after they wed, the quit their jobs and moved to Seattle to found Amazon.

If only. But he’ll be down 50% plus lawyers fees by the time it is done.

That's some trailer park shenanigans going on there.

Geez, if you are going to be a scumbag, at least dump your wife for a 24 year old hottie, not a plastic faced 49 year old with 2 kids!! How stupid.

Well, sounds like he might not get too hosed in the first divorce, we'll see..

Better sign a pre-nup for the second one..

You don't get $137 billion by being an idiot. The problem here is with this stupid divorce system. I'm sure she provided some help in his years of accumulating that wealth, but his decisions were his. There's no way she's "entitled" to anything approaching half.

Seems crazy to me that someone can work their ass off and make all the right decisions to support his family the best he can, and then he can't end his relationship without giving up half of what he's built. And the guy's gotta believe he's magic - why wouldn't he think he could do what he wants?? Everything in his life has shown him that when he does what he wants, it works out marvelously. If there was ever someone whose instincts have proved stellar, it's this guy.

Business wise, he is no idiot. Politically he is objectionable, and with regard to the subject of this thread, his judgement is questionable.

His wife was the co-founder. Generally co-founders are due quite a bit, unless you are Gates or Zuckerberg and you have a long track record of screwing people over.

She was fully involved at the beginning...

She became the fledgling company's first accountant and, according to Brad Stone, was the one "handling the finances, writing the checks, and helping with hiring."

Actually, she might immediately become the richest woman in the world while he retains his spot as well.

Meh, he formed an equal partnership in life with her and it was before he was rich. It is hers rightfully.

At first I thought the same thing. But in reality, this is probably just a temporary fling, and it won't prevent Bezos from also experimenting with other options.

This 49-year-old looks a lot younger and is still pretty attractive. Granted that's bound not to last much longer. But it doesn't need to for Bezos's purposes.

She doesn't look like much to me...not enough dump 100 billion dollars in a divorce settlement over.

It's retarded. He could find plenty of smoking hot 20-year-olds willing to marry him. It's not as disappointing as Prince Harry, who is literally royalty.

You know, she helped start the company. She worked side by side with him in their garage. She did inventory, purchasing hiring, clerical, payroll, accounting. She was his partner. An equal stakeholder.

Nothing new around from the sham-man woman-haters here, but don't you dare ever cry here again about how unfeminine women are becoming these days while simultaneously asserting that wives are actually just hired help, and not full partners in marriage.
