    Opinion after the collapse

Everything is in motion, with no change for the better. It’s now moving exponentially. Certainly those in power are not going to relinquish it. They have been at this for well over a century, and the American people still do not wake up - in fact, they don’t even pretend anymore, and now promote it.

After the collapse, does it stay the same? Get worse? At some point in the near future will we be required to make visits to suppress our thoughts?

    Your thoughts?

I think we will see a Balkinization of the states into regional semi-nation states largely along political lines. I also see this as a worthy goal and work towards making it a reality. There is no fixing the current system. That is why I am a #Collapsitarian
There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

I agree, there is no fixing the current system.

The problem becomes, those in power will never allow things to transpire to our advantage. An illusion perhaps, but that’s about all.

That's how they seem to think. That's certainly how they want us to think.

What I think is they have no idea how big flyover country is. And if they can't maintain control of the Breadbasket of the World, how are they going to feed the coasties enough to keep them on the plantation?

Will it be worse if it collapses ? Why yes for most it will lower the standard of living substantially . For me personally no , it will not change much except I will be home every day . I leave sometimes three times a week now for a bit and I would no longer do that .

Probably going to get worse. I used to think the opposite but now I truly believe the American people will never learn. I might as well just start insulting the people who defend these cretins instead of explaining to them why their philosophy is a load of garbage.

    That's already the reality.

I think the first step here is to recognize that THIS is what the collapse looks like. People are expecting some cataclysmic event, but empires tend not to crash like that. infrastructure starts to crumble, more wealth is needed to meet basic needs, civil unrest pops up in more and more pockets...

If it weren't for our technological advances, this would be seen more dramatically. We are able to increase our wealth almost as fast as they destroy it or borrow on it. So the decline is a slow, drawn out process.
"And now that the legislators and do-gooders have so futilely inflicted so many systems upon society, may they finally end where they should have begun: May they reject all systems, and try liberty; for liberty is an acknowledgment of faith in God and His works." - Bastiat

Or as I like to say, Rome didn't burn in a day.

In this political system, the authority of the government is entirely dependent on its ability to deliver loot to its constituents.

When the loot runs out, and those constituents can't be satisfied, there will be either a popular revolution or a military coup.

Recent events in Italy and France foreshadow this; the looting is beginning to run up against economic reality.

In France, the protests were not solely about the Global Warming Tax... that socialist economy is running out of other people's money so they came for the middle class once again.... and the middle class showed up to fight.

I think we see California just outright secede and everyone happy to let it go. If that happens the federal government gets heavily rationalized and devolved. Its a relatively peaceful solution.

The big $#@!o collapse will happen in China. They don't have the institutions to correct peacefully.
    In New Zealand:
    The Coastguard is a Charity
Air Traffic Control is a private company run on user fees
The DMV is a private non-profit
Rescue helicopters and ambulances are operated by charities and are plastered with corporate logos
The agriculture industry has zero subsidies
5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament
A tax return has 4 fields
    Business licenses aren't a thing
    Prostitution is legal
We have a constitutional right to refuse any type of medical care
