    OK,,For all the Hand ringing,,,
I had a bright spot on this very subject..

A Post on FB,, by a young Lady out of my past.. Posted "Baby It's Cold Outside"' and some comments of the weather..
    From a younger generation.
that little girl has kids of her Own now.. but I remember meeting.

( In the Keys, I was still using an alias,, and a Deputy Sheriff came to my door with a beat up and bloody girl,, and asked if it were safe for her to stay.. She worked with my wife. ,,,The girl and her daughter stayed with us for a while.. I went with the Officer and collected some of their things.. but that is another story)

It brightened my day.. Floridians,, girls,, and it's cold outside.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

The year this came out,, I took a 15 yr old girl across state lines on a run. And fell in Love with her.

    and I still do.

    My Wife Hates her.

Baby, there’s no climate change outside
    Karen De Coster

My favorite take on the “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” hoopla is from libertarian comedian Tim Slagle: “Radio Stations across America are refusing to play “Baby It’s Cold Outside” because it promotes Climate Denial.”

Disrespectful to women, creepy and banned:

I really can't stay (but baby, it's cold outside)
I've got to go away (but baby, it's cold outside)
This evening has been (been hoping that you'd drop in)
So very nice (i'll hold your hands, they're just like ice)
My mother will start to worry (beautiful what's your hurry?)
My father will be pacing the floor (listen to the fireplace roar)
So really I'd better scurry (beautiful please don't hurry)
But maybe just a half a drink more (put some records on while I pour)
The neighbors might think (baby, it's bad out there)
Say what's in this drink? (no cabs to be had out there)
I wish I knew how (your eyes are like starlight now)
To break this spell (i'll take your hat, your hair looks swell)
I ought to say, no, no, no sir (mind if I move in closer?)
At least I'm gonna say that I tried (what's the sense in hurtin' my pride?)
I really can't stay (oh baby don't hold out)
    But baby, it's cold outside
I simply must go (but baby, it's cold outside)
The answer is no (but baby, it's cold outside)
Your welcome has been(how lucky that you dropped in)
So nice and warm (look out the window at this dawn)
My sister will be suspicious (gosh your lips look delicious)
My brother will be there at the door (waves upon the tropical shore)
My maiden aunts mind is vicious (gosh your lips are delicious)
But maybe just a cigarette more (never such a blizzard before)
I've gotta get home(but baby, you'd freeze out there)
Say lend me a coat(it's up to your knees out there)
You've really been grand (i thrill when you touch my hand)
But don't you see? (how can you do this thing to me?)
There's bound to be talk tomorrow (think of my lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied (if you got pnuemonia and died)
I really can't stay (get over that old out)
    Baby, it's cold

And just so nobody accuses me of picking on rap, this is the number one song in the US as of 8 Dec.

Something called "Happier" by the aptly named "Marshmello", as it is nothing but empty fluff.

Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier

    [Verse 1]
    When the morning comes
When we see what we've become
In the cold light of day, we're a flame in the wind
Not the fire that we've begun
Every argument, every word we can't take back
'Cause with all that has happened
I think that we both know the way that this story ends

    [Chorus]
    Then only for a minute
I want to change my mind
'Cause this just don't feel right to me
    I wanna raise your spirits
I want to see you smile but
Know that means I'll have to leave

    [Post-Chorus]
Know that means I'll have to leave
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier

    [Verse 2]
    When the evening falls
And I'm left there with my thoughts
And the image of you being with someone else
Well, it's eating me up inside
But we ran our course, we pretended we're okay
Now if we jump together, at least we can swim
Far away from the wreck we made

    [Chorus]
    Then only for a minute
I want to change my mind
'Cause this just don't feel right to me
    I wanna raise your spirits
I want to see you smile
Know that means I'll have to leave

    [Post-Chorus]
Know that means I'll have to leave
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier

    [Bridge]
    So I'll go, I'll go
    I will go, go, go
    So I'll go, I'll go
    I will go, go, go

    [Pre-Chorus]
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier
Even though I might not like this
I think that you'll be happier, I want you to be happier

    [Chorus]
Then only for a minute (Only for a minute)
I want to change my mind
'Cause this just don't feel right to me (Right to me)
I wanna raise your spirits (Wanna raise your spirits)
I want to see you smile but
Know that means I'll have to leave

    [Post-Chorus]
Know that means I'll have to leave
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier

    [Outro]
    So I'll go, I'll go
    I will go, go, go

If liberals say it's not misogyny when black men say it about black women, does that mean liberals don't consider black women to be women?

Radio Station Ends Puritanical Ban of ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’

    https://www.breitbart.com/entertainm...-cold-outside/

    11 Dec 2018 3:01

The Unforgiving Church of Woke faced a setback Monday after radio station KOIT in San Francisco reversed its fascist ban on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

“After hearing from thousands of Bay Area listeners via polling, phone calls, emails and social media, KOIT has concluded that the vast majority consider the song to be a valuable part of their holiday tradition, and they still want to hear it on the radio,” Program Director Brian Figula said in a statement.

Because a small but powerful segment of the authoritarian left are joyless, uptight, censorious $#@!s who confuse their ability to feign offense with morality, KOIT banned the 75-year-old Christmas standard after a listener complained it promoted date rape.

This is not the first time the Unforgiving Church of Woke called for a ban on the clever and romantic “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Back in 2015, the far-left Washington Post published a demand the song be rewritten.

In an editorial titled “Well, I Never!” — okay, I made that up — a humorless harpy wrote:

The Christmas song that has been a romantic classic for decades is becoming notorious for being creepy at best, encouraging of date rape at worst. The lyrics haven’t changed; the female role in the duet has always been singing “the answer is no” as the man pressures her to stay. But society’s evolving views on the prevalence of rape, especially between non-strangers, has pushed criticism of a Christmas classic into the mainstream.

Until the last decade, the song was rarely considered controversial. Songs like “Santa Baby” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” were seen as far more raunchy because they directly linked romance or sex with Christmas.

Did I miss this supposed controversy over “Santa Baby” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus?”

“Santa Baby” is about a woman using her feminine wiles to score some good Christmas gifts from her man and the latter is a perfectly innocent song about a kid seeing his mom kiss his dad without knowing that’s his dad.

    Who are these freaks?

Anyway, remember what the true agenda is here…

Like the Taliban, the left want to destroy legitimate works of history and art and beauty that offend the sinister Unforgiving Church of Woke — banning Gone with the Wind, rewriting Huckleberry Finn, or declaring as “dangerous” a timeless and endlessly clever song like Baby It’s Cold Outside, a song about adults enjoying the mating ritual (where the woman has all the power, by the way).

These rabid tyrants tear down historical monuments that offend them, while at the same time extolling as Great Art the most destructive, nihilistic filth imaginable.

Porn should not be criminalized, but there is no question it turns too many young men into unhappy sexual deviants, too many young women into junkies, is absolutely everywhere and much more extreme and dysfunctional than the stuff that used to play in downtown movie theaters. Porn is a real problem, but…

Today’s busybody book burners are targeting Baby It’s Cold Outside, MASH, Taxi, and Cheers.

I honestly have not heard a single person express any outrage over that song.

I have, however, heard tons of people getting outraged over the alleged fact that they have been told by the media that some nameless nobodies out there are outraged over it.

Because a small but powerful segment of the authoritarian left are joyless, uptight, censorious $#@!s who confuse their ability to feign offense with morality, KOIT banned the 75-year-old Christmas standard after a listener complained it promoted date rape.

It seems that there really is a small minority drowning out everyone else. And, the effect is to have some people believing that the minority is the majority. It is compounded when others are afraid to speak up. It takes on a life of its own.

I skimmed the 256 replies the Democratic Underground (DU) thread. In all fairness, there is an okay range of opinion, but there is definitely a difference between the RPF tone and the DU sentiment. I counted about 10 people who seemed to be bent out of shape. The word "creepy" was used a lot. One person used the words "shameful" and "disgusting."

    Here's the thread:

Here's a couple of kids doing a lip synchronization and acting out the song. I skimmed through it and it seemed entertaining.

WDOK Christmas 102.1 pulled the song from its around-the-clock rotation of Christmas music this week after receiving a call from a listener who suggested it is inappropriate in 2018.

Sort of ironic how the song is about caving, which is exactly what this station did.

The station said it posted a poll about the song on its website and a clear majority of respondents supported the decision to remove the song from the station’s lineup.

Poll results were not visible on the station's website. However, a poll on the station's Facebook page showed that among more than 600 votes by Thursday night, 92% of respondents favored playing the song while just 8% felt it was inappropriate.

So this station is not only pussy, but it looks like they just outright lied.

None of this SJW nonsense would matter if it was, in fact, just some nameless nobodies.

But the fact is these nameless nobodies are setting policy.
