If I was Trump, I would've let the Kavanaugh FBI investigation draw out another 3 weeks.

Brat is a huge loss for the liberty movement. The establishment GOP is happy though. Karl Rove is celebrating no doubt. The put up a CIA operative as Democrat to take on Brat.

The “plurality wins” rules made it possible for the Libertarian to play spoiler and give the win to the CIA Democrat.

Edit: Huge victory for the Libertarian Party, they managed to eliminate one of the most libertarian (GOP) members of Congress. Latest numbers say that Spanburger has more than 50%, so not a spoiler situation. This may go to a recount.

I know firsthand that Republicans gave no love to the Libertarian candidate in that election. Not an ounce. He had no effect on the GOP vote whatsoever. Dems were much, much more receptive to the Libertarian message because, whether you believe it or not, there are still Dems that still hold the anti-war and civil liberties issues that they (and we?) once embraced in very high regard. GOPers are still Bush loving warmongers like usual. Nothing has changed there, thanks to Trump.

a lot of close races. good on the democrats for winning the house, my prediction was inaccurate. The house democrats will attempt to bog down the executive with investigations but probrably won't matter. The senate moves further conservative due to no McCain, no Flake, etc.

We got legislative gridlock boys. Good things still to come from the executive.
