We'll all be living in caves after everything is outlawed, but then you can be sure that living in caves will soon be banned in order to protect endangered bats.

People don't like threads without information or text.

For myself. I am presently on very limited internet access operating from a mobile hotspot. I cannot click on every link. It would be beneficial if you could post the meat of the content. Please consider doing so.

First inclination from the headline is why should anyone care what a person decides to eat? So many dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Only problem I would see is if food establishments are selling dog and or cat as some other meat.

One of the best lines from a movie I remember was Paul Newman in a movie called "Hombre". A rich lady in the coach was criticizing the Indians for eating dogs. Paul Newman asked her, "Have you ever been hungry lady? Not just late for supper hungry. Hungry enough that your belly swells up. You would eat dog and fight for the bones." Quote best I can remember might not be actual word for word.

Americans are submissive slaves that beg for their chains now.

Everyday the elites build their prisons, increase their arsenals, loot the country, chip away at freedom, expand their wars, increase the debt, and become stronger and wealthier.

Everyday the 99% becomes more weak, stupid, fat, divided, degraded, degenerate, dependent, enslaved, and immoral.

If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

If you are not part of the resistance then you are the enemy.

The Bill has yet to pass the Senate.
This is not law. It states in the article
that it MIGHT get thru the Senate...

The Bill has several hurdles ahead of it... It may fail to become law.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Instead of saying that the US is the land of the free, why not just cut the bull$#@! and put every American in
    prison when they're born?

    The US is collapsing.

The USA is now an immoral bankrupt warmongering police state, but Americans think that they live in a moral, peaceful, free country with a balanced budget.

The elites control the government, media, and corporations.

Bankers who committed fraud received billion dollar bailouts instead of being jailed.

Jobs are being offshored, illegal immigrants are flooding the country, wages are flat, homelessness is growing, and debt is rising, but our overlords say that the economy is booming.

There are nanny state laws, regulations, security cameras, license plate readers, checkpoints, redlight cameras, speed cameras, FBI facial and voice recognition, curfews, gun bans, searches without warrants, mandatory minimums, DNA databases, CISPA, SOPA, NDAA, IMBRA, private prison quotas, no knock raids, take down notices, no fly lists, terror watch lists, Constitution free zones, stop and frisk, 3 strikes laws, kill switches, National Security Letters, kill lists, FBAR, FATCA, Operation Chokepoint, civil forfeiture, CIA torture, NDAA indefinite detention, secret FISA courts, FEMA camps, laws requiring passports for domestic travel, IRS laws denying passports for tax debts, gun and ammo stockpiles, laws outlawing protesting, police militarization, NSA wiretapping, the end to the right to silence, free speech bans, private prisons, FOSTA, TSA groping, and Jade Helm.

One reason the US is collapsing today is because Americans are lazy cowards. Americans may think deep down inside that immorality, debt, endless wars, and tyranny are wrong, but there are perverse incentives that encourage people to remain silent. Anyone who is quiet and compliant is rewarded with food stamps, a campaign donation, a paycheck, or a sale. Anyone who questions the status quo is called a racist, nutjob, gets an IRS audit, is arrested, or killed.

How much more will you take? Does your conscience bother you? Do you think that the 1% are just going to turn around and start reducing the debt, restore the Bill of Rights, and end the wars on their own?

    Silence means consent.

I mean, dcliberty's not wrong but it's sorta preaching to the choir at this point, at least on RPF.

Wake up! You are in prison. It is a free range prison that is minimum security. You are allowed to remain in this minimum security setting until you break a significant law. Once enough laws are broken you get moved to a more secure section of the prison.
