Police officer tases 11 year old

Did not buy her groceries. But it did hurt the officer's heart to tase her

Is there a law against tasering a person under a certain age?

    Tasing kids is wrong.

    Speaking the truth isn't wrong.

Sad thing is more people will be upset about the truth than the tasing.

Okay so are you saying that his words were accurate but the tasing not?
    I would agree with that.

If children should not be tased, there should be a law against it.

I think it's called child abuse? Try spanking your kid in public for stealing.

    Good God man!

    Enough laws already!

You read daily how laws and law enforcement $#@! up peoples lives, how can you in good conscience call for more laws?

We know that the police uphold laws even if they do not make sense. This law is about how police are supposed to treat children.

Take illegal activity, insert the word "government" before it, and the activity becomes legal.

We should have a law, against laws.

I hope the poor officer gets therapy for all that heartbreak.

Perhaps departmental policy and training should prohibit it. No need for a law.

OTOH common sense should tell you this..... but we are talking about a police officer here

There are elected 'officials' that have the authority to hire-n-fire and ultimately they are responsible.

If they're not looking out for their constituents then they need to go, right now, like move to impeach or unseat or fire, whatever word the local government uses to boot the ineffective.

Of course there's always the chance that this is the behavior their constituency wants? But even that isn't cause for more laws from higher authority.

Oh, totally agree about the elected officials. Of course the Police Unions will bust attempts at that.

Ultimately the idea of an officer tazing an eleven year old girl for stealing in a grocery store is ludicrous. AND to listen to his self-justification is sad. All the while some of his statement was correct! Lol
