$10 would be my guess - you can always back down to $9 if they don't sell.

We do not operate casinos here . The state is very strict about the revenue they collect from the gamblers that like to donate to the state . We would not want to pay that much tribute to the state . I have already given you a priv quote .

It's subjective. You have to reckon how much you want to make and estimate how much people are willing to pay. When you know that, you can reckon a market clearing price, profit margin, market value, etc.

There's some good economic theory that explains price theory, marginal utility, and whatnot in Rothbard's "Man, Economy, and State".

Your beans qualify for several federal subsidies, minority owned land and company, tariff protections, crop-fuel dollars and probably half a dozen I'm not thinking of..

Figure out how much gold it'll take to purchase an entire section, 2 new tractors and a combine then divide that figure by your projected harvest and voila! You have the price per bushel...

These prices seem a bit high. Are you taking full advantage of the subsidies available?

    Loan Deficiency - Soybeans
    Direct Payment - Soybeans
Agricultural Risk Coverage County - Soybean
    Oilseed Program - Soybean
    Market Gains - Soybeans
    ACRE Direct Payments - Soybeans

You can demand whatever you want, I only use soy sauce once in a whole so they aren't worth much to me.

I should have known. You don't take government subsidies because the government doesn't know your little soybean operation even exists.

I'll make sure that they do - reported.

I think they know . I think they picked it off from the IRS some years ago I got a survey from the USDA once . It was a horrid experience I told them it aggravated my gout and for medical reasons I could not complete the last 30 pages or so.

For those of you with soy cravings . Check prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ( it used to be The Chicago Butter and Egg Board and was non profit from 1898 to 2000 ) . Now you can buy real estate derivatives I think. Ten percent of the volume still goes on in the pits so you should check it out if you think you can safely enter and leave the city . You have live cattle , Bitcoin , Feeder Cattle , Lean Hogs , Cheese , Butter , Whey , powdered milk , Rice , Oats , Wheat , Soybeans , Corn , Malaysian Crude Palm Oil , Black Sea Wheat and corn etc .

Hopefully all of you noticed wholesale gasoline dropped below 2.00 today . 1.99 wholesale gasoline and 2.61 copper do not really show a economy poised with growth. Personally I like cheap gas though.

This mornings review . Pressure on chinese stocks which are at a two yr low , corn prices trying to hang onto recent gains , soybeans got a short respite on profit taking the night before , wheat rally , USDA announced a sale of about 6 million bushel of beans to mexico with 26 million sold last week to destinations other than china . Asian vegetable oil markets higher up a quarter percent for Sept futures . International oilseed markets mixed , up in Paris down a nickel in china . Russia considering export curbs due to record prices . Overall I would say a bit bearish on beans and better on corn & wheat , fuel costs stable . Positive outlook on Origanalist cravings for my soy sauce .

No thrill rides? What's the point in having one?
