After Armed Homeowner Defends Family from Home Invader, Cops Show Up and Kill Him

An armed homeowner successfully defended himself against an intruder who was harming a child only to be killed by police when they arrived.

    By Matt Agorist - July 31, 2018

Aurora, CO — When an armed intruder broke into a family’s home early Monday morning, and reportedly began harming a juvenile inside, the homeowner did what he was supposed to do.He armed himself, called 911, and defended his home—and he was successful. (nope, kill the guy first, then call the cops, then lay yourself out prostrate in plain sight by the front porch and you might survive when they show up, maybe) However, after he’d successfully fended off the home invader—by killing him—police then showed up and killed the innocent homeowner.

According to police, they received a call from the homeowner notifying them that a man had broken into the home. When officers arrived, the scene was chaotic, according to police.

“Officers arrived to a very chaotic and violent scene,” Aurora Police Chief Nick Metz wrote in a news release issued Monday afternoon.

Police say they heard gunshots inside the home and when they ran inside, they found an armed man. The armed man was the homeowner and they killed him.

Police fatally shoot Bronze Star recipient after he shot home intruder
    https://abcnews.go.com/US/police-fat...ry?id=56945256

Rathod told ABC News "a naked man kicked down the door to the house, entered the house, and was found choking Black Jr.'s 11-year-old grandson," strangling the boy in the bathtub. That boy's father, Black's stepson, went in and began wrestling with the naked man. Both he and Black were trying to save the boy.

"Mr. Black goes and gets his sidearm and shoots the intruder and saves his grandson," Rathod said. "Mr. Black walks out of the bathroom to see other individuals who had also come in the home. Black's wife had called the police and ran outside. She specifically told the police what her husband was wearing and there was a naked man attacking her grandson. Mr. Black walks out and is shot by police."

According to the lawyer, Black left the Army and became a federal agent. Prior to that, he was awarded a Bronze Star, with the first oak leaf cluster, an Army Combination Medal and a Purple Heart. Rathod said Black received all commendations for his service in the First Infantry Division simultaneously while at an Army hospital during the Vietnam War.

Black was a member of the Citadel Class of 1966, according to Kim Keeler of the Citadel's media relations.

Idiot Cop Shoots Vietnam Vet Who Repelled Home Invader

    He should lose his pension.

    https://www.breitbart.com/news/lawye...tect-grandson/

AURORA, Colo. (AP) — A decorated Vietnam War veteran woke up to the sound of his front door crashing in and saw a naked intruder attack his grandson, so he acted to protect his loved ones, according to his family’s lawyer.

As the man tried to choke and drown the boy in the bathroom, Richard Black and his son desperately tried to pull him off early Monday, even poking him in the eyes, before the 73-year-old grabbed his 9mm handgun and shot the intruder twice in the chest, lawyer Siddhartha H. Rathod said.

Soon after, police responding to 911 calls shot and killed Black in his house outside Denver.

It’s the fourth police shooting in the city of Aurora in about a month. Police say the officer who killed Black also was involved in another fatal shooting on June 27 that is still being investigated.

Black’s wife, Jeanette, had called authorities from outside the house, describing her husband and son, who are white, and the intruder, who was black, Rathod said.

“Mr. Black did everything right. His actions saved his grandson’s life. He should be in the mayor’s office getting a commendation for his heroism. Instead he’s in the morgue,” the attorney said Tuesday.

Yes, well that pretty much guarantees no nationwide press coverage or meaningful action taken against the cops.

It appears the cops left Black handcuffed on the floor for a period of time, letting him bleed out instead of giving him immediate medical treatment, and he died later at the hospital, indicating that, had he gotten immediate treatment, he might have survived.

The same cop was involved in another fatal shooting a month before.

Of course, nothing will happen, because stupid weak white people refuse to do anything.

Police chief: Officers warned Colorado homeowner to drop gun

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/02...-drop-gun.html

By COLLEEN SLEVIN | Associated Press

DENVER – Thirty-three seconds after arriving at a suburban Denver home where a man had broken in and attacked an 11-year-old boy, police officers heard shots fired inside.

An armed man came into view, police said Thursday, refusing five orders to drop his gun. He started to come toward officers and raise a flashlight he held in his other hand.

An officer fired four rounds, killing 73-year-old Richard Black, Aurora Police Chief Nick Metz said in the department's first detailed account of the shooting early Monday.

The officers soon found the intruder — 26-year-old Dajon Harper — dead in a bathroom from shots Black fired to protect his grandson. Those were the shots officers heard after arriving at the chaotic scene.

Metz said he did not hear the uniformed officers identify themselves as police in body camera video. He acknowledged that Black, a decorated Vietnam veteran, had a "significant hearing impairment" from his military service that may have made it hard for him to hear the orders to drop his gun.

Police will not release bodycam footage yet, citing the wishes of the Black family and prosecutors who will decide whether to charge the unidentified officer who opened fire.

Portions of the audio and video are hard to understand because of background noise, including screaming, but the police chief said a forensic review will try to clear it up.

A family lawyer said Black's wife, Jeanette, gave an emergency dispatcher physical descriptions of Black, her son and the intruder, but Metz said those were not found on any of the 911 recordings.

Black was white, and Harper was black.

The Black family said in a statement released by police that Jeanette Black's 911 call was difficult to understand and acknowledged the police department's position that the officers did not receive descriptions.

Jeanette Black was heard on bodycam footage saying, "He has a gun," as police arrived, but Metz said he does not know if the officer heard that.

In one of several 911 recordings released Thursday night, a woman who identified herself as Harper's mother told the dispatcher that her son was on drugs but was unarmed.

"He's literally kicked in some people across the street door. ... He's on some type of drug or something," she said frantically. "He's running through the neighborhood busting cars, busting in people's doors while they sleep. I don't know what he's on. He's bleeding."

The woman later said Harper is "hurting this little baby. He kicked in their door."

Harper, who was released from prison in February after serving time for weapons and menacing charges, broke into the home by knocking open the front door. He had left a party across the street, where he became out of control, acting irrationally and damaging cars, Metz said.

Some partygoers followed him into Black's house to try to get Harper to come back, adding to the confusion. Others were standing outside with Black's wife when police arrived.

The police chief said Black acted heroically to protect his family but also defended the actions of his officers, including the one who killed Black, a fellow military veteran who was involved in another fatal police shooting just over a month ago.

The officer returned to duty 14 days after that shooting, which Metz said was much longer than the minimum three days of leave recommended by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

"They were not reckless. These officers responded how I would expect them to respond, given the very limited information they had," he said.

Sighing and looking down at the floor, Metz said the body camera video was heartbreaking.

"I can tell you that when my folks sat around the table and first saw it — and I'm talking about police personnel who have been on the job 25, 30 years who have seen just about everything — there wasn't a dry eye around the table," the chief said.

"It is very horrific to watch, not just from the standpoint of watching a man who saved his family get shot but also knowing what that little boy was subjected to," he said.

In their statement, the Black family urged people not to threaten or harass police because of what happened, noting that Richard Black deeply appreciated law enforcement.

Black was white, and Harper was black.
That is somewhat confusing. Bet the cops couldn't figure that out fast enough.
