Mick Mulvaney will be Chief of Staff, Roger Stone confirmed

2:30, John Kelley will step aside and Mick Mulvaney will be Chief of Staff

He confirmed it as if it was 100% fact, a very confident statement, imo.

Mick Mulvaney has always been an ally to the liberty caucus/movement. I was surprised someone so friendly to our movement even made it to the White House budget director position, to me this is as exciting as the tax cuts and killing the obamacare individual mandate.

If this really goes down, it'll probably be the height of our movement, in terms of actionable policies.

Also wouldn't be surprised this was now happening because Mulvaney sided with Trump on Russia (whereas Kelly might've been against it), and maybe Rand is pushing for this behind the scenes.

    Mulvaney endorsed Rand for President

The guardian of the WH in terms of new hires & fires shall be a Rand Paul supporter. Nuts to think about this.

Nobody else even reporting any rumors of Kelly leaving. Nothing on Mulvaney either.

As for Stone (Richard Nixon's dirty tricks specialist): http://thehill.com/policy/national-s...uccifer-hacker

Mueller probing Roger Stone following Russian hacker indictment: report

Roger Stone remains a focus of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation despite not being named in a recent indictment.

Mueller is apparently interested in Stone's contacts with online persona "Guccifer 2.0," which was allegedly used by Kremlin-linked hackers during the 2018 election to disseminate stolen Democratic Party emails.

CNN reported Wednesday that two attorneys representing a former Stone associate were in court Wednesday morning for a 90-minute sealed proceeding that followed the associate Andrew Miller's refusal to turn over some documents to Mueller's attorneys.

Miller, who worked for Stone during the 2016 campaign, was subpoenaed last month, the third ex-Stone associate reportedly subpoenaed in the Mueller investigation.

The former adviser said on CNN last week that he is "probably" the unnamed individual said to be in contact with the hackers in the indictment filed last Friday by Mueller's office. Mueller is charging 12 Russian nationals with crimes related to the hacking of the Democratic National Committee's and other servers during the 2016 election.

Mueller was looking into the hacked emails, as well as Stone’s connection, as of at least February, according to reports at the time.

The GOP operative maintained in a statement to The Hill that his messages with the Guccifer 2.0 persona were "benign based on its content context and timing."

“This exchange is entirely public and provides no evidence of collaboration or collusion with Guccifer 2.0 or anyone else in the alleged hacking of the DNC emails, as well as taking place many weeks after the events described in today’s indictment,” Stone said.

Stone has yet to be charged with a crime in the ongoing special counsel investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Maybe that means it is more likely to be true.

Is anyone here implying that this will somehow get Rand in the WH, either as VP or somewhere else in the cabinet?

Roger Stone is an impressive and extremely sharp dude. A fighter's fighter. Called Rand "the future of the Republican party" a few weeks ago.

Stone can be a bit nuts.

I might think that the Libertarians who have some type of resume that could allow them to work at the White House or for some area under his control might be able to get a variety of jobs. This is huge, or at least significant. Trump doesn't have a farm team really, Ron and Rand were training people in various areas, these people affiliated with Ron and Rand can be a part of the competent government without backstabbers for the outsider GOP. Trump needs people, and it's not the Libertarians, it's not Rand Paul, who has been screwing over Trump. Ideologically, there's a lot of similarities between Trump and the Pauls, certainly differences, tariffs and whatnot, but Trump and the Paul Libertarian Conservatives should be able to work together effectively. I would assume that the Paul Libertarian Conservatives would see the merits of a long alliance, trying to build a winning bloc of votes to win the primaries, and not all quit in a snit or something if Trump does tariffs, or be leakers or otherwise screw Trump.

Trump is a lot like Reagan, and one notable thing about Reagan is that he was the only President since FDR to be strong enough, popular enough, to allow for a same party successor. Typically, if you want to win, you run 8 years after the last GOP President finished his term. Win, Win, Lose, Lose. But if the President is strong enough, like Reagan, well, there was Bush. And if Trump is strong enough, there could be Rand Paul in 2024.

And what about Ron? Maybe Ron would like some sort of White House job? Just a guy who stands around and tells Trump what to do. Trump might or might not do what Ron Paul tells him to do, but he's there, able to communicate with Trump, to make his case. And that seems like a good deal.

Trump could say to Ron, "hey, I want to change the banking system, come up with a new one" and Ron could write up a new one, there's a lot of good that could come from that.

Whether this lil rumour began with a degree of authority and wit behind it is still a debate,
But if it's seen as a trial balloon, then it served its purpose, as Stone creates new headlines.

Trump doesn't listen to what anybody says he should be doing. He makes things up as he goes along. Trump is no Reagan. Reagan understood the details of issues.

I thought the claim was that he did whatever the last person to talk to him wanted and had no mind of his own.

    I predicted this in 2003.
    1. Don't lie.
    2. Don't cheat.
    3. Don't steal.
    4. Don't kill.
    5. Don't commit adultery.
    6. Don't covet what your neighbor has, especially his wife.
    7. Honor your father and mother.
    8. Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy.
    9. Don’t use your Higher Power's name in vain, or anyone else's.
    10. Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

This has been rumored for some time.

I don't take Stone's word for anything. This rings more true most anything he says.

Here is an article from back in February at CNBC.

With John Kelly under fire, Mick Mulvaney reportedly emerges as possible next Trump chief of staff

The best pick that the conservative/libertarian could realistically ask for.

Good on Mick. I hope he becomes the full time CoS. He went from a relative nobody in the conservative house caucuses to one of the most powerful men in the world. Amazing.

And yes, zip's leftist tactics looking real stoopid right about now.
