I can never thank all of you enough for your generosity in my campaigns to unseat Nancy Pelosi. While we weren’t able to pull out victory in those campaigns, I was honored to take the fight to her in the heart of liberal San Francisco.
And in the end, all of that work may just payoff yet. Please read on…
I know most of you don’t live here in San Francisco, but it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on our local politics. San Francisco has not only given us Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and Jerry Brown, but others like presidential aspirants Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris.
Aside from politicians, San Francisco is the birthplace of lots of awful ideas that have caused unnecessary political fights in cities and states across America.
Now take a look at San Francisco and behold what liberal/progressive ideas and management have done for this once amazing city.
I’m sure you’ve read and/or seen the shocking videos of the mess that San Francisco has become. You cannot begin to imagine.
Homeless people everywhere, openly doing intravenous drugs, sleeping on private property.
Property crime has exploded. It’s unusual to NOT see shattered car glass on sidewalks. Packages from online orders are stolen from doorsteps regularly.
My wife, twelve year old daughter and I have been witness or subject to all of these indignities and more; not long ago a thief got through our front gate and WALKED INTO OUR HOME in the middle of the night WHILE WE SLEPT.
Almost every San Franciscan I know talks about leaving, but we're here to fight. Our daughter wants to finish middle school and then go onto high school here in the city, and we're not ready to give up on this great place.
So I looked at the candidates in the race for Supervisor in our district, the political position that has the potential to most impact our quality of life. And while they may be nice enough people, in the end, I have zero confidence that any of them understand the reality of the problems we face, much less the will to do what’s necessary to fix them.
For these and other reasons, I have filed to run for San Francisco Board of Supervisors in District 2.
