Bannon, Salvini, And A Powerful Catholic Cardinal Are Gunning For Pope Francis

As a wave of populism continues to rise throughout Europe - most recently Italy where refugees are now being turned away - conservative Catholics are coming together to take on Pope Francis.
At the center of the intra-faith movement are Steve Bannon, Italy's new interior minister Matteo Salvini, and American Cardinal Raymond Burke - all of whom are staunchly opposed to liberal open-border policies advocated by Pope Francis.

Francis is a harsh critic of secure borders, and an advocate of unchecked migration - calling President Trump "un-Christian" for wanting to build his wall (which would be around 30-feet, the same height as the wall surrounding the Vatican).
It is no secret that Francis, whose first ever apostolic voyage was to the Italian island of Lampedusa to give support to the hundreds of thousands of migrants who have crashed onto the shores there, supports an open-border policy. He has celebrated mass on the Mexican border with the United States, and he has warned world leaders to prioritize the acceptance of migrants over national security concerns and to avoid “discrimination, racism, extreme nationalism and xenophobia.” -Daily Beast
Burke, Bannon and Salvini have railed against Francis, with Bannon calling the Catholic Church "one of the worst instigators of this open borders policy," adding that "The Pope - more than anybody else - has driven the migrant crisis in Europe."
"The Catholic Church is one of the worst instigators of this open borders policy," Steve Bannon, a Catholic, says while responding to a tweet from Pope Francis.

The three conservative Catholics came together earlier this month when Bannon was in Rome to celebrate Italy's new populist coalition government run by Salvini, along with Five Star Movement leader Luigi Di Maio and Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. During his visit, Bannon took a side-trip to the 800-year-old Trisulti monastery under development by conservative UK catholic Benjamin Harnwell.
Harnwell runs a conservative Catholic organization, the Dignitatis Humanae Institute - which was "founded to help Christian politicians defend their faith in the public square."
The monastery will host events with speakers like Bannon and Burke and conservative Christian leaders.
    ...
Harnwell and his organization are an important connection between Bannon and Burke. Harnwell is the one who first introduced the two, according to a New York Times article that is displayed on Harnwell’s website. Bannon spoke at one of Harnwell’s’ conferences by grainy video link back in 2014 during which he warned that the migration exodus would lead to a rise in populism. Burke was the keynote speaker the year before. -Daily Beast
Burke, meanwhile, is one of the pope's harshest critics - openly challenging Francis' ability to lead the church while campaigning for limitations on papal powers. Burke has openly called Islam a threat, and is an open supporter of President Trump.
Burke has been getting closer to Salvini, who visited him this week in Rome. It was not their first meeting.

Salvini, meanwhile, is enjoying a boost in popularity within Italy, reinforced with a photo op with Cardinal Burke.

Francis, pushing back against the mounting Catholic coalition against his open-border policies, has been particularly vocal of late on the issue of migrants - both in regards to Italy's closed ports and the US-Mexico border controversy over migrant children being separated from their families (meanwhile 80% of migrant children are unaccompanied - meaning their parents chose to separate from them when they shoved them across the border with a human trafficker).
I would like to point out that the issue of migration is not simply one of numbers, but of persons, each with his or her own history, culture, feelings and aspirations,” Francis said this week. “These persons, our brothers and sisters, need ongoing protection, independently of whatever migrant status they may have.”
We look forward to demolition crews tearing down the "un-Christian" Vatican walls so that all those persons who need ongoing protection can seek shelter in the ever-loving and charitable arms of the Catholic church. Especially the children.
Amazing comments from the Pope- considering Vatican City is 100% surrounded by massive walls. pic.twitter.com/g3iVLDVGe5

    Dump Francis

At the risk of ending up with three popes, Francis has got to go.

I'd dare say that American Cardinal Raymond Burke is just as guilty as the Anti-Chri..., err, Pope, in putting his nose in politics. Bad move for a religion.

Perhaps it's time for the Catholic Church to have another split...

The main problem is that most do not understand the Jesuits. They're mission is for the greater good of ALL mankind- especially the young, poor, & afflicted.

Many see the Pope as a progressive when he is actually practicing his religion and trying to bring the world together in peace while softening the hardships of the many.

    Four Vows

As members of a religious order, Jesuits take three vows — of poverty, chastity and obedience — and a fourth vow of obedience specifically in regard to worldwide mission.
And, no, I am NOT a Catholic or a Jesuit; I just appreciate & understand what he is trying to do in spite of all the misunderstanding and hatred that is covering the planet.

Never judge a spook by his cover.

I take this post as strong evidence that you are aligned with the Jesuits if not actually a member.

Every evil organization on the planet cloaks itself in humanitarianism and philanthropy, even the satanists claim they want good for mankind.

    WRONG.

And I take your post as proof that you continually push hate on this forum. You never engage in meaningful dialog- only insults & insinuations toward anyone you disagree with. And because of your continually posting of hatred and negative narratives, I would have to assume that someone's paying you to destroy the forum.

Many good members have stopped posting because of this kind of diatribe- you must be very proud.

There have always been conspiracy theories about Jesuits- maybe read a little history to balance that POV.

Jesuit Honored for Saving Jewish Lives During Holocaust

May 4, 2016 — Hungarian Jesuit Father Jakob Raile, who risked his life to save over 100 Jewish people during the Holocaust, was recognized for his heroism at a Boston College event last month.

“It is important to remember the rescuers firstly because they represent a morally significant part of 20th-century history,” said Jesuit Father James Bernauer, director of the Center for Christian-Jewish Learning at Boston College, which hosted the event. “They show that institutions, not people, failed during the Holocaust.”

Although the Jewish community in Hungary was once thought to be safe from the terrors of mass deportation and extermination, the Hungarian Jews faced some of the harshest acts of brutality seen during the Holocaust, said Deborah Dwork, director of the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University and the main speaker at the Boston College event.

As German fortunes in World War II declined during 1943, Nazi leaders focused their efforts on the Hungarian Jews, the last remaining community to be spared from the horrors of concentration camps. Throughout an eight-week period in 1944, the Nazis murdered half of the Hungarian-Jewish population.

Fr. Raile, born on October 6, 1894, was a native of Hungary and a member of the Hungarian Province of the Society of Jesus. He entered the Jesuits on August 14, 1912, and served as the director of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the location of the Jesuit community in Budapest, which he used as a hiding place for some 150 Jews.

When Hungarian extremist Arrow Cross gangs attacked the church, Fr. Raile stood in the doorway, arguing with the intruders until the Jews inside had time to hide. On more than one occasion, Fr. Raile was forced to let the Arrow Cross men enter the building. He led them from room to room, from the top floor to the basement. At the end of one such search, the Arrow Cross men entered the coal cellar, where Jews were hiding atop a pile of coal, under a dark blanket. Fr. Raile remained calm, turned out the light and said, “There is only coal here, be careful you don’t get dirty.” The Arrow Cross men quickly left the basement without carrying out a thorough search.

During the battles of Budapest, Fr. Raile braved the constant bombing, wandering the city streets looking for food for the Jews hidden at Sacred Heart. Additionally, Fr. Raile entered the Jewish ghetto with representatives of the Swedish Red Cross, distributing food and medicine to ghetto residents. He gave out police uniforms and priest and nun outfits and forged passports and blank baptism certificates to help them escape. One of the people Fr. Raile helped save, John C. Harsanyi, later won the Nobel Prize in Economics.

When the Communists took over in Hungary, Fr. Raile escaped to the United States and taught German at Boston College High School until his death in a traffic accident in September 1949. He was buried in the Jesuit cemetery in Weston, Massachusetts.

On February 27, 1991, Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Memorial Center, formally recognized Fr. Raile as "Righteous Among the Nations" for risking his life to save the Jews. Fr. Raile is one of 14 Jesuits honored by Israel's Holocaust Center, but the only one buried in the United States. The Jesuits in Boston added a plaque to his grave in 2015 noting the honor.

While the state of Israel has formally recognized and celebrated the non-Jewish individuals who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust with the “Righteous Among the Nations” award, Fr. Bernauer said that, on the whole, there has been very little recognition of these people — something that the Boston College event aimed to rectify.

There are always exceptions and cover operations, but the Jesuits and this Pope openly call for world government and big government socialism, even if you dismiss "conspiracy theory" (how very MSM of you) you can't ignore their public statements and activities.

Please stop embarrassing yourself, you have completely outed yourself as a wolf among the sheep with this bizarre attempt to defend the indefensible, I used to think you were just misguided but now you have made things clear.
You are probably a crypto-Jesuit and if you aren't you are allied with them in the cause of destroying America and the west and promoting communism.
